Dear Class of 2020 is a virtual commencement celebration bringing together inspirational leaders and artists to celebrate graduates, their families, and their communities. Watch the full stream here: • Video
Girl i’m glad I flunked one year of school and got to graduate in 2020 !! Now I can say Lady Gaga was a speaker at my graduation for the years to come ! 😂😭
this outfit represents rock and roll. and rock and roll is the symbol of resistance. Lady Gaga wants to teach the spirit of rock to younger generation.
She REALLY cares! You can’t deny she’s one of kindest and compassionate artists we have today. Even dressing like a badass I feel she is representing those who feel rebellious, free spirited, artistic, or even misfits.. they can see that we’re all perfectly imperfect and anything is possible for anyone. You don’t have to look a certain way to make it, you can work hard and be yourself.
this outfit represents rock and roll. and rock and roll is the symbol of resistance. like resistance to those who deny your existence (racists, homophobia, boomers, sexists ) Lady Gaga have always tried to teach the spirit of rock to younger generation.
the comments only noticed her outfit and her presence during this video BUT NOT HER SPEECH. y'all should rewatch it and understand what Gaga is actually saying. it's full of hope, encouragement, and life. i stan this woman not just because of her music, but more so because of her heart. don't waste your time listening to her without learning from her.
And I want you to get it. You deserve nothing less. I'm white and I'll never really know. But I am using my privilege in every way I know how to help grow that forest. And if you are graduating, I wish you pride and joy!
If only everyone would listen to your words...really listen...and really take the time to be kind...even if it can be challenging...even in our own homes at times...be kind first. Be the change. Plant the seeds. Hold Hands...smile when it hurts. Be strong. Together we can build the forest. Thank you Lady Gaga and to all of you that will take the moments to listen and the steps to be kind and support each other throughout the change . 💖
Im not even a graduate..and damn that even moved me😭😭😭❤❤❤ Kindness and love will always win! If you don't calm the flames, they will grow and burn down all the beautiful seeds you will grow...so grow from love and act peacefully..together you are the future and i find peace that its in your hands..Congrats Class of 2020❤
Aries Smith That is your input? Some shady comment belittling Samuels opinion? Do some research, Lady Gaga is an articulate and well-educated woman and she has demonstrated it for over a decade. Your petty comment only shows that you are damaged. Seek help, that negativity will only lead you to live a frustrated life.
@@ariessmith4910 you really think she'd take the time to go out of her way and give this speech when it's one that she didn't pour her own heart and soul into? Not only does that clearly display how little you know about her and everything she stands for, but you also fail to realize how stupid that would be for any given person to do, let alone her.
Thank you so much. I am the mom to a 2020 high school graduate, who brought this to me to hear. I was overwhelmed with emotion. You are a beautiful, and wise young woman.
I'm Italian and I have to do the third grade exam, you've always been an example to me, no one could ever understand why I loved you so much, everyone was asking me why I was so obsessed with you and no one asked me why I was, then, on the exam I'll talk about why I care so much about you even if you don't even know I exist, why you can always make me happy, how you help me to believe in my dreams and especially how you continue to teach me new things, maybe even more than I was taught by the school. Probably this video will be in my exam, and I'm going to show everyone what a woman you are. Ti amo stef ❤️
Manny Amato I’m thinking she/he is not a third grader but maybe from Italy and taking an exam on a 3rd grade level to show they understand certain things of America or the English language? She never said she was in 3rd grade.
Thank you so much for being a part of this series LG, this melted my heart and brought tears to my eyes each time I’ve watched this video. Lady Gaga has been my favorite artist for so long. So blessed and thankful to have had the opportunity to see her live in 3rd grade (monster ball) and again in 9th grade (Joanne world) and now watching her speak to my class as I enter adulthood into this uncertain world. LGs music has helped me through so much in my life, especially her last colab Rain On Me, helping me to get through every day as the world around me turns into something I’ve never seen before and something I feared would happen as I finish school and loose work. As I watch this for the third time, I can’t help but to be a little chocked up, I couldn’t have said it any better, everything LG has been advocating for in the world are things we all need to pay closer attention too. To have my favorite artist of all time share her words of support, wisdom, truth, and thought especially to my graduating class is truly heart touching. Thank you so much LG 🙏🏻💙💙
She should have taught my speech class! She is a natural! I can feel the passion for every word she says. You can tell she means it. She gave a better speech than many political officials 💀
Woow lady gaga. Thank your for this video in times like this & happening around the world.stay safe⛪🙏.thanks for sharing your videos to us watching here in Philippines. Pipay BraziL channel
Never expected that Gaga would relate the scene to forests and plantation. That's what I do usually and I used to think that no one would be relating things in a metaphorical sense to plants. And was so pleased and SURPRISED to listen to the WHOLE commencement speech relating EVERYTHING to the growth of a forest. That's soooo lovelyyyy💚
Gaga, you are a beautiful soul with a powerful message. You truly use your authority for the betterment of us all, as a nation, as individuals, as humans.
I'm going to come back to this video maybe when I actually graduate. Hopefully things will change by then :) Thank you Gaga for giving such an insightful/encouraging/wonderful speech.

Racism. Its in every aspect of life in America. I can't even find an aspect of my life where i haven't experienced racism and microaggressions from white people and non white people. From Work, to School, Shopping, Exercising, Renting A Car, Renting an Apartment, even Dating. It has become so normal to expect it that I've trained my mind to block out the hurt when it happens so I can go on with my life. But with everything thats been happening. A flood gate of emotions and bad memories has opened, and I feel like I'm drowning in emotions and pain. No one should have to feel this way ever I wouldn't wish it on anyone.😥
From the same brilliant mind behind "I wanna take a ride on your disco stick".. Truly inspiring to all the future doctors & engineers the world over...
I was and am never wrong about Stefannie (Lady Gaga) when I first came to know her and admire her on her "Poker Face" song. She really is a person of hidden values liken to gold that you need to extract from mud if you are a miner of persistence, courage and hope.
