since 2011 people have been promised this game is a thing, then in 2017 we finally get a trailer, 2018 we get another trailer, and now nothing.......a drought.
sh3rocks01 it’s getting pretty close lol. I just hope it doesn’t disappoint in any way. not saying Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy are bad, I actually think they made them better, but the longer it takes the more things tend to change.
Yeah they waitin for PS6 to drop first by this point 😂 I’m excited for the game and they can take as long as they want. As long as it comes out right. I been waiting for this since I was 10
Why is this game taking so long? Personally I'm beginning to question whether or not it's ever coming out. Or if any progress is being made at all, or if it even exists.
Beyond Good and Evil will always be one of my favorite games. It holds so much nostalgia for me, and every time I replay it I find things that just make me love it more. The original left me with so many questions that I've been waiting to get answers to. Jade and Pey'j weren't originally from Hillys, and the final squiggly boss (I think it was called a DomZ priest) said that it'd been after Jade/Shauni for centuries and she's basically what brought it to Hillys. I've always wondered what she is. If I recall correctly it's also briefly mentioned that Hillys wasn't the only planet suffering from the DomZ and Alpha Sections attacks. There's so many directions this could take, but I sincerely hope they keep the core gameplay elements the same and the game feels the same. BG&E's world wasn't huge, but most of the characters felt unique as did the world. I really hope they don't lose that feel because of the scale this seems to be taking. I'm curious about what happened to Double H, Iris, and the kids at the lighthouse. I dunno how much time has passed since the original, but it'd be pretty cool if some of the characters shown in this trailer were some of those kids. I also get the impression we won't be playing as Jade this time around. Either way, even if I don't have all of my questions answered I'll be happy just to have another experience in this amazing universe again. 💙
Agreed to everything you said 100%!! I've been following this game for 17 years already and kept wondering if they're gonna make a 2nd one or not. Seeing their first trailer, I was fangirling like crazy lol like "yes!! I knew it was gonna happen!!" Beyond Good & Evil will always be my favorite game! Honestly seeing Jade as an evil character kinda broke my heart the first time watching the trailer.. like you I also have unanswered questions about the first game and now even more questions for the 2nd game. I really hope the do release the game soon. I read that they stopped production again, not sure why? I still have hope though.
@@vannylp94 I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they stopped production again, or we wind up waiting a few more years and there's an entirely different trailer somewhere down the line. It's happened before. Regardless, I'll keep waiting and hoping for a sequel/prequel. As for Jade being an evil character.. Maybe she has reasons for appearing that way. Maybe in order to get an antidote for Pey'j she has to learn more about the DomZ and it's for appearances sake. Mei used the last dose that the Iris group had for Double H. Who knows what would be needed for such a thing or if they were even the ones who made it or just got it from someone else. It depends on when this is supposed to take place I suppose. Maybe another DomZ priest makes her lose control again, and this time she needs help recovering? Pey'J admitted in the first game that Jade scared him because she wasn't; "like the others". We don't really know her origin story, but if they make her genuinely evil I'm going to be disappointed. Shoot, we don't even know if her parents are actually dead or not. Pey'j just mentions in the Mdisc that they had him take her to save her life and eventually they wound up on Hillys. The leader of the Alpha Sections said they were dead, but he also said the children were when they weren't. I don't even think Jade/Shauni is truly human so that could be another twist. They were on Hillys for around 20 years but the DomZ priest said it'd been after her for centuries, not to mention how it wanted to; "kill the human part of her". Who knows. Sorry for the long reply but I love this game. xD

I wasnt alive in 2003. Kinda wished I played that game , but nevertheless I think beyond good and evil 2 can be played as a stand alone. I don't think I will play the first one as I saw the graphics anddd hahaa. There's no point also, can't wait to get this game and play it. Do you know how amazing this looks? Although I know nothing about this world, I'm ready to love it.
Honestly im a little scared the game sounds too good to be true it may have a lot of bugs and errors and it is gonna be online only so im even more anxius about it
I think its a good move to wait until Cyberpunk is out. Once the hype died, this game take over. I think we will get it in 2021, but they should take their time
I thought about Jade a lot. I played the old chapter and I remember it perfectly. Isn't it surprising to me now to see Jade looking mean here? Because deep down we knew that part of his past was in the dark. We knew that Jade had been kept hidden for reasons unknown to us. Finally, we found out that she is half human, and something else for the other half. Jade has immense powers. Did this trailer show us how you were at the origin? Then maybe she was captured, they erased his memory and made him more human?
Ubisoft exposed an advertisement that they search for a senior-concept artist right now. They are those people who usually make the concept for a game, which means that this game is in development for 15 years now...and they still didn't do almost anything. Bravo Ubisoft 👏
Dominic Gunderson game has been in development hell for almost 15 years. It was originally for the last gen console then got pushed to current gen and is now set for next gen. It’s not good when your developing a game with no ideal console to play on.

Better to wait a little longer than to make a hasty start. I don't need to tell you what kind of crap has been blown out of half-finished games in the last years, you must have suffered from one or the other. Besides, I think they want to wait for the launch of the new consoles, I think especially of the PS5. Not that as a PC gamer I ever was or will be interested in a console (my graphics and FPS is just better and better than a console), but I think that is one of the reasons that it hasn't been released yet.
I have seen the second trailer just a few Minutes ago and have to say that im extreme Hyped!!! OMG i Hope this will be a great Game!!! i loved the first Game so much! AND OMG Why is Jade with the bad guys? OMG I WANNA KNOW the Story and wanna play this Game!!! aaaaaa xD
I really hope this game is worth all the waiting. At least these trailers look cool and characters look are charismatic. I really hope this game won't be on "top 10 games that flopped list".
Please tell me that I can find a longer version that contains exactly the parts in the end. Not only the melody but also the exact instruments. I'm in tears right now
I'm concerned. This game looks like it's gonna be amazing, but Ubisoft's track record -- for releasing games without major bugs on release -- is not good. Just look at some of the insane crap that happens in Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, for example.
Bugs happen. I'm happy they seem to be able to take their time with development and not just rush out a release. If you're worried, wait for patches. All there's always patches.
Martin D. 1. I think you mean Unity mate because Black Flag isn’t buggy. 2. That’s why they have pushed all their upcoming games back so that they can release a finished game like they should be doing.
@@lewisconnor2820 I swear I've seen and heard of some huge glitches in Black Flag. They've probably been fixed by now -- and have been for a while -- but I'm talking about when it first released. First impressions last, y'know? My sources are my friend who had the game and, to a lesser extent (because I can't remember everything he said about it), Caddicarus.
If anyone wondering what are latest news Beyond Good and Evil 2 will be a next-gen game Beyond Good and Evil 2 is coming in 2022 at the earliest, but we'll likely see it in 2023.
Without being able to give more details that I don't have(N' I won't if I had), being one of these artists/musicians/producers/sounddesigners who decided to collaborated to music/sound developpement (throught specific process, and does'nt means what I do will be choosen) of this amazing game, and I can tell you that BEG2 is still developping. Keep the faith ^^.
