I was hyped by the second game every time I saw a new about it. Ever since I played the game almost 21 years ago... and after beating the anniversary version 17 hours after lunch... my hopes and excitement have been rekindled. After 20 years... it still is a beauty.
And I expect that bg&d2 will be this generation’s duke nukem forever. Mainly because I trust Ubisoft less than I trust ea at this point. Get comfortable with not owning games my ass.
I would love it but…tbh, BG&E2 was teased back when the largest fighter for BG&E was still in ubisoft, Ubisoft was still into risk taking with their IPs, and they didn’t label BG&E as the commercial failure gold standard (ie. well, we tried that with Beyond Good and Evil) when new ideas came up. I’m cautiously optimistic and will buy the 20th anniversary when I can in the hopes of showing that it’s still a worthy property but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
It has not been in development for 16 years, the 2008 trailer is a completely ‘beyond good and evil’ that got scrapped, the only similarity is the name, development didn’t start until the visual trailer we first saw in 2017
I played the original when it came out, i played this new version now. I can tell you, noone is making that 2008 version. If we assume they did 2 years of work before the trailer reveal in 2017, that version of the game has about 9 years of work in it. I am hopeful that they will release in 2025, as those characters were mentioned in this 20th Aniversary edition of BGE. ...assuming BGE2 comes out at all, of course 😂
Looks cool but unfortunately games that are in development for that long come out as hot garbage trying to be tomany things instead of just one good game
You know you be soft was supposed to give us a big free update for the division two but they decided to cancel that so they can focus on X defiant which am my opinion. I think they just didn’t want us to have a free game with that much content.
It was my first game I got with my playstation 2.. 20 years ago. I've never played zelda so no idea if it's true what that guy said, but I think there is no one who played this that will claim this game sucks. It's just beautiful and I've played it multiple times on multiple consoles. I'll probably buy the anniversary edition in the future, and you should too!
