Join us as we hike on an epic journey through the stunning Los Padres mountains, exploring the hidden gems that are hidden beyond the Punch Bowls Canyon Waterslide. This video covers everything you need to know for an unforgettable adventure hike! We take you deep within the huge canyons past the famous waterslide.
• What to Expect:
Discover the breathtaking natural beauty of this unique waterslide, surrounded by natural pools and picturesque waterfalls. Experience the thrill of bouldering over giant rocks and navigating through the diverse terrain. Keep an eye out for the local wildlife, including mountain lions, tarantulas, frogs, snakes, and various insects that call this area home.
Equipment Needed:
• Sturdy hiking boots and ROPE!
• Water shoes for slippery rocks
• Plenty of water, snacks, and Electrolytes
• Sunscreen, hat and sun glasses
• First aid kit
• All trails navigation and google map, with point set to destination
• Camera for capturing the adventure (water proof case)
Terrain and Trail:
The hike to the Punch Bowls is an adventurous mix of well-trodden paths, endless rocky terrain, and natural obstacles. “The Last Chance Trail” offers a challenging but rewarding route, with various navigation points to guide your way. There are black diamonds painted on rocks to help you find the trail. This trail avoids a great portion of bouldering you would find at the Santa Paula Creek trail to First Falls. (We recommend the Last Chance Trail)
• Navigation Points:
1. Trailhead: Start at the Santa Paula Canyon Trailhead. Parking is limited, you need an Adventure pass displayed (link in description below) Some street parking as well.

2. Crossroads: Follow the trail markers (black diamonds) and cross the creek multiple times.
3. Last Chance Trail Junction: refer to video for video directions and visual guidance.
4. Final Ascent: Climb through Epic Canyon, passing through emerald water, and the boulders are huge, climbing is required. Navigate the last steep section to reach beyond the waterslide with ropes. Caution: slippery, watch every step. Then enjoy private epic views and more waterslides, pools and adventure.
