Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a PGA golf tournament and how the turf crew prepares the course before, during, and after play?
I was privileged enough to follow the turf crew at TPC Deere Run last year during the 50th Anniversary of the John Deere Classic PGA golf tournament and pull back the curtain on the dedication and hard work it takes to maintain a pro level golf course.

Probably my favorite job was working a grounds crew at a big golf course in my early 20's. We'd start about 5am mowing, fixing divots, picking rocks, cutting trees, raking bunkers. I loved the variety of work. If only it paid better 🤷 Great video! So much work goes into keeping those courses beautiful!

Wow....just awesome 👏. It definitely makes me appreciate these guys even more now. A bunch of us never really take the time to thank these guys while we are out on the courses. It’s a craft to be able to maintain the fairways/greens & Tee boxes when so many people are on them like cars on freeways/roads.Great video once again Ryan thank you for this one.

I'm a golfer and this was so great to watch. I knew the ground Crews worked hard, but seeing how much work these guys and gals do during a tour event week is amazing. Excellent video, Ryan. If you get an opportunity to do more of these please do.

When I built my home putting green I did so with a massive amount of help from my country club superintendent. These guys are scientists. They aren't landscapers, they know the why behind all of this. I enjoy talking with my superintendent about turf more than one could ever imagine. They make RU-vids amount of info look small.
