You can tell that this game is far from done due to the M1911 being portrayed as Double Action Only, the fact that the Winchester 1897 shotgun ejects rifle casings, and the fact that disintegrating belt links come out of the Lewis Gun. Amazing animations and sounds, though. The holy trinity will soon be complete.
5:12 So, the 10 shot thing is legit, you could load your Lebel to a max of 10 bullets (8 in the magazine tube, one in the elevator system, and one and in the chamber) though there are two issues there: -Back then, Lebels were only loaded with 8 bullets (at least initially, during combat who knows but soldiers were trained that way), the reason being that these rifles had no safety, so the idea was to carry the rifle with no cartridge chambered and to chamber one when in a combat situation, I suppose that when it comes to the one in the elevator, it may have been just a tad to finicky though I'm not the sure. -The animation doesn't even try to portray the elevator system, Battlefield 1 does it better in that sense, you kind of had to jerk the thing like a mad man to properly operate it in pure French fashion.
The 9th round does take a bit of finesse, since the lifter cups up over the top of the round. I usually put the tip of the bullet in the chamber so I have room to swing the back of the round down and then I can pull it into the lifter.
@@ЕвгенийМакаров-в6л True, that was quite a janky part of the design. It worked fine of course, but you can tell the rifle was rushed out the door to be the first smokeless powder rifle used by a major military but that this meant using a feeding system that would become outdated extremely quickly.
It’s kinda funny to me that for the draw and holster animations they decided to just use the magazine cut-off like it’s a normal safety like in other weapons animations
Looks pretty good! The models look great and the animations are smooth, but the sounds could use some more work. Some of the guns sound really choppy, especially the Chauchat.
the same repeated mistake - the presence of trigger discipline in these reload animations at least the handguns are shot with only one hand by default and of course, some unnecessary details that happen to be incorrect stuff... c'mon, we got Forgotten Weapons and C&Rsenal!
@@dodiandhika6684 the hammer would stay cocked after each shot. You can't shoot a 1911 double action. And even if you could, the hammer wouldn't operate the way it does in the video.
It most likely isn’t. Just by looking at the way the barrel shakes and moves after every shot it probably it actual recoil. Not 100% sure though it might just be visual recoil instead. I would need to see a recoil pattern on a wall or something like that.
1:22 this is not normal. This means the revolver’s cylinder stop or lock (the thing that keeps the rotating cylinder from having a bullet hit the barrel, and keeps the gun’s cylinder from rotating the wrong way.) additionally, do not make your revolver do this. This damages the aforementioned parts.
8:46 The Pattern 14 MKI W (T) can load 5 rounds of .303 British, not 6 because the .303 is a rimmed cartridge. But they said they’re going to fix it. Honestly, the Pattern 14 was rarely recognized in WWI FPS games.
You're literally people who complained and give all blame to the cashier about some pack of snacks having a mispronounciation in their flavours while demanding it to be changed right away on the spot
I really hope they increase weapon accuracy , handgun damage and the variety .Hope we can get some private purchase handguns and some less standard weapons . Also , fuck , the way they spin the cylinder of the revolvers absolutely hurts me inside .And the way the Gewehr 98 bolt handle is grabbed kills me .
The bolt handle is actually that way to my memory. The revolver stuff I agree on, and I find is the worst, as it is the one thing a revolver should not do. Flicking the cylinder shut is also bad, but this is worse, as it means vital parts are damaged, as a cylinder should not be able to rotate in the opposite direction of how it fires.
The Trench Gun ejects rifle shells? The empty belt just spawning out of MG08 after you reload looks really weird... and both Chauchat just spew out many infrequent empty shells?
@@BarmaleyPoimanov Yes and no, they were armed with modified chauchats fitting for the 30-06 Springfield cartridge but they didn't modify their chauchats themselves.
These straight magazine versions are also the ones that gave the Chauchat its terrible reputation, cause compared to the original which worked fine for what it needed to do, this one was rushed and extremely unreliable.
2:44 why does those machinegun belt pieces shoot out of the side of the Lewis Gun? Lewis is magazine fed weapon and there are no parts to fall out of the mag.
@@googleh248 i think he's right to be angry at that, this is supposed to be a hardcore shooter like squad, simulating real firearms operation, spinning a Webley Mk.VI cylinder, now that is just weird
The 30-06 Chauchat had magazine issues which led to the Americans using the 8mm Lebel version instead. The mag tap is a good attention to the fault that the 30-06 had.
@@dodiandhika6684 this game is supposed to be a little more realistic. I believe the devs said that they want to add it but are currently working out all the ENORMOUS balancing issues it would cause. If you haven’t played the game before, let me set the scene: most of the battles are very close quarters, most people only have a bolt action rifle, anyone with a pistol or revolver has a very limited fire rate and ammo capacity, LMGs have a MASSIVE amount of recoil and weapon sway when a bipod is not deployed. An SMG would bypass all of that. Little weapon sway and recoil, high fire rate, automatic capability, high ammo capacity, close quarters supremacy
imagine how fun the Verdun 2015 game would be with this engine, models and animations. I'd buy this game if it wasn't so squad focused where you need a mic
