I find using my 6’ spinning uglystick with tiny cranks or finesse worms is so much more fun than my baitcaster. so many more fish and it just makes fishing more fun.

Bro I have a bass pro shop rod for $30 and a Shimano BFS REEL $100. Medium light action. 8lb braid to 10lb flouro. Small frogs. Light cranks. Even best used with regular sized jerk baits. The action is crazy. Adjust ur drag to peel off not so light. More medium pressure, then it's all in the fight without having to mess with the reel so much. I even fish small Rapala insects. It's crazy fun. My biggest has been a 5lb bass on a mini max chatterbox. And the micro chatterbox by man. Try small swim baits too by zman. Wacky rig...... Senko......I fish 6in stick baits too. Berkley has small cranks too. Money badger. Bro I'm a bfs king. I love them.

This is the reason I almost always carry a little zebco setup. When the bass ain’t biting you can almost always catch everything else with some 6lb line and small simple presentations. Will be interesting to see if the berkley family of brands gets into the bfs arena. I’m definitely intrigued.

Try a Fritside 1/5 oz I use it on my bfs. Your rod isn't covered under warranty. Gloomis life time, Megabass 3 years, St Croix I think it's 5 years. Abu has to warranty a $300 dollar rod.

The 3inch split tail stiko from bps is great for bfs .It is thicker than the 3in stiko and is good for ned ,wacky and using like a fluke

I would recommend checking out some guys like Rawr on RU-vid to get more BFS tutorials. The lures and techniques are addictive and the true BFS equipment is as well. I still use spinning reels for vertical fishing crappie but everything else is BFS. It's an amazing fun way to catch fish of all sizes and species. This maybe my favorite video you've made. Mainly because your daughter is precious but also BFS is fun to watch and do. Thanks for the video.

Bluegill are some of the best eating fish out there. I like them if you grind them up and make them like you would salmon pattys

If seen so many bfs videos I can teach about bfs 😅 so tired of the way some only talk about it now 😂. But get some jdm nano braid 8 to 12lb and then use the flouro for leader. That's what is most recommended to get longer casts with bfs lures.

great vid man, like you said idk if I'll want to spend that type of money on a BFS reel but really want a BFS Baitcaster, currently I'm running a 6' Duckett Crappy Slayer light rod with a spinning reel, with Zman micro finesse 1/15 or 1/30 oz jigs with their plastics. Caught my biggest bass of year with the micro LarvaZ plastic. The fight on light rods are awesome. 😁
