Marshall is one of the most beautiful cities in North Carolina. It's a must see.

Marshall North Carolina is worth a scenic drive. It has a thriving artist community, friendly people, the second oldest river in the world, and some of the best cookies you'll ever eat.

Thanks for posting this. My grandmother was born in Marshall. I plan to visit one day. They migrated to Cleveland in the late 50s, but there is a family cemetery there that goes back to the 1750s. One day I'd like to have her body moved back if the finances ever come available to make that happen.

A flood of outsiders. "Revitalizing?!" Corrupting my kin with city folk, hipsters... no true appreciation of the culture. They are "welcoming" because they are precious... too precious for your passing interest. My heart breaks that the word got out. Didn't know Mr. Penland was selling out... shame.
