James, I am so happy for the work you have done. I know your background and have a similar track. Far too long Christians acknowledged these prophets were hard to understand and gave up all efforts. That opened a door for charlatans who claimed special understanding and used them for fear mongering and financial gain. People who had claimed not to understand were in no position to counter them. I have enjoyed your thoughtful presentations on this and other issues.

I always get excited when I see your new videos posted, Dr. Tabor. My heart actually leaps with joy:-) It's always been my understanding that the final battle of Armageddon would be between Russia and the United States and it's allies. Based on your map and discussion I can easily see how the dispute over Israel could evolve into a full-scale multi-nation war. Russia could join forces with Iran and the Middle East against Israel, with the US and it's allies defending Jerusalem. As far-fetched as it might sound, it's not impossible to imagine because all things are possible with God if it's His will. Did He not harden Pharaoh's heart? The Bible says, "For God has put it into their hearts to carry out His purpose" "'Jesus said, 'With God all things are possible."' As sensational as it sounds I'm not ruling it out. 🧚‍♀

Dr. Tabor, I have, in several of my early posts, several years old now, been critical of your thesis. In this current evaluation( lesson 17/18) and discussion, and your use of Scofield, I must Thank You for the work that you put in to this study. History and age have developed further the Christian, Jewish as well as Muslim prophecies and your expertise and ease of delivery have given me more consideration and thought on your position. Hi James, I haven't seen any other video presentations of yours but appreciate your very straight forward scholarly approach to the biblical prophecies. If you are saying that The Gog and Magog war occurs after the millennial reign of Jesus and that Ezekiel 37 & 38 are aligned with Revelation 20:1-8 then we are in 100% agreement. Thanks for showing that map with Turkey most likely being Gog and Magog and not Russia as many believe the Gog and Magog references are covering because I was pretty sure Russia was not those Lands in the Magog prophecies - But that doesn't necessarily mean that Russia won't be backing up all the world's [Gentile] UN backed armies that WILL Besiege and attack Jerusalem in what looks like being our relatively Near Future as Zechariah 12:1-3 shows will be the case: "The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him. Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. What the book of Revelation does beautifully is Back- up all the old Testament prophets' books that show the events surrounding Jesus' final coming to Set up the 'Stone' Kingdom of God/Israel [Daniel 2:34 & 44-45] ON this Earth for 1000 years and even some of the New Testaments authors writings as well. Ezekiel 43:1-7 for instance is showing Jesus coming from the East and lighting up the holy land as He does so - Ezekiel 43:2 - Exactly as Jesus stated He would in the olivet prophecy: "For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." [Matthew 24:27-31] Zechariah 9:1 & 9-16 is actually running Parallel to Isaiah 11:10-16 and shows that There will be one notable Exception to all the World's armies Gathered together against Jerusalem In Zechariah's 12:1-9 siege in which 2/3rds of the Israeli Held Land of Palestine/Land of Israel will be overrun and captured [Zechariah 13:8-9] together with 1/2 of Jerusalem being Captured. [Zechariah 14:2] And, Revelation 11:3-18 is running Parallel to Zechariah 14:3-18's plagues sent to destroy all those attacking Armies that even Isaiah 29:5-8 shows will be destroyed in an instant of time in our age - with Revelation 16:8-9 running Parallel to Isaiah 30:25-26's Massive solar storm/solar flare. The beauty of Revelations' prophecies in spite of all the loss of life portrayed in its middle chapters - Is that it gives 3 distinct timeframes - one of which gives the timing of Zechariah's 14:3-9 Events - in Revelation 11:14 and another gives the timing of Isaiah's 30:25-26 Solar flare event. Plus the timing to within the 'same hour' as the Resurrection of the two witnesses and the saints that The Apostle Paul outlined in 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 And 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 showing exactly WHEN the 7th or last trump will be Blown: "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever." [Revelation 11:15] That timeframe doesn't look like what we generally think of as a time frame - But it certainly is: because the first woe is in Revelation 9 and the third woe covers Events from Revelation chapters 14 through to 19. "The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly." [Revelation 11:14] Clearly, the 'Two witnesses' of Revelation 11:3-12 that Zechariah also foresaw in Zechariah 4:1-5 & 11-14 are still alive and giving their prophecies during the events of Revelation 9 onwards through to Revelation 11: 7 when they are killed. I don't have space here to cover the Notable Exception shown in Isaiah 11:10-16 & Zechariah 9:9-16 [ i.e The Descendants of EPHRAIM that are not Jews/Israelis ] to All the Countries that will attack and Capture 1/2 of Jerusalem but clearly the two witnesses take part in Jerusalem's defence up until Zechariah 14:3-5 and Revelation 11:13 takes place. IF you have any queries as to what I've just posted put them in the reply section to my comment and I'll answer them when I can. 🙃 Incidentally I'm just a minor biblical scholar from Australia and don't belong to any of Man's religious organisations - though I was baptized by full immersion in one during my late teens. 🤔

Dr. Tabor what Bible is the most accurate for the kind of study that scholars like you do? I'm a Spanish speaker but have no problem with English. Also we have lots of bilingual Bibles where I live.

So, in your opinion are the people who occupy the area now the God's Israel? You have mention in both Ezekiel and Revelations where during Gog and Magog, God will regather Israel. Why would God have to regather Israel if the real is already gather as of this moment and Gog and Magog are future events? I believe God has not brought the real Israelites home yet.

All of the details of Rev. 20 and Ezk 38 are not exact, but some details match which makes me believe they both speak of the same war. In E.38 it describes great hail and earthquake and the birds eat the flesh. So also in Rev. 19 at the destruction of the beast and false prophet, it says birds will eat the flesh of "horses and their riders" (v.18). And in chapter 16 it speaks about great hail and a powerful earthquake and "Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found." This happens under the 7th bowl of Wrath, the Battle of Armageddon being the 6th Bowl of Wrath. So it appears that the battle last into the 7th Bowl. And all of this is the same event. The beast and false prophet are thrown into the fire, and fire comes down and kills Gog and Magog. I actually believe that E.38 speak of two different battles, in two different locations at the same time.

God works in mysterious ways? A prophet has his own perspective and personality but when the prophet prophesize it is God's perspective and not his own. If a prophet adds to or takes away, from what God says; God will Judge as in the case of Moses striking the rock twice. If you doubt the scripture remember who brought doubts in the garden of eden or even Thomas, but blessed are those who have not seen or touched but nevertheless believed the Word of God. The deciples were going to the festival and asked their Master if He was coming and he said no; but later He went in cognito, if He had not everyone would have known He was there? Can you tell me what the Name is written on the Son of Man when He returns? So, Scholars say this & that and it pleases God to let the simple confound the wise,? They say Ezekiel and Isaiah but it is not the prophet but the One who sent the Prophet. If you think you know it all, you don't understand.

I believe that the Gog-Magog war mentioned in Ezekiel 38 and 39 will follow the Gaza war or this Gaza war will set off the Gog-Magog war. A very important context is that This wouldve occurred in the time of Jesus if he had been accepted and this church age or Dispensation wouldn't have occurred and the gospels continue to tell us what where when why and what its all about.
