I echo that 👍🏼. It strikes me that anyone who sees being allowed to teach 'only' women as somehow insulting must have a very low opinion of women! At the same time I really love how her teaching isn't overly feminised, but just focuses on teaching through the word. Wish there were more teachers of both genders who just did that!

Have been listening to your teaching. Thought John would be great, trying to finish before Easter. NOW ran across Q&A. Love it. Christ saved me in October of 1979 through a healing I didn't ask for. Some people need to get hit on the head to find Christ. I was reading the Living Bible that mom gave me in 1979 which I ended up reading through. After that the NIV, 1988, American Standard 2000, finally the ESV. Now I can understand the King James. Somewhere in the mix is the Ganeva Bible. So, study to show thyself approved with the Holy Spirit as your teacher. Worship, praise, study, Chrisitan friends and mission work. God is good, I make life harder than it should be but God is faithful, to me. God Bless, only five more lessons to finish John.

I love this video series :) Per 17:38 -- We are baptized so we can experience for ourselves Christ's burial and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4). Just as Jesus died, was buried and rose again for our sins, so we may die to our sins (go down) be buried (immerse ourselves in the water) and rise again to experience a new life (2 Cor 5:17).

I recall on a trip to Las Vegas, there was a bridge lined with beggars ~ I gave a man a $5 bill. After awhile, we walked back across the bridge, he looked me in the eye and I told him I just gave him $5 - he hissed at me! For a time, I was attending the International Churches of Christ. In many ways, I miss it. Anyway, on the days we met downtown Chicago at the Shriners Temple, I brought several sack lunches I prepared at home to distribute after services. I tried to make them somewhat healthy - people would pull whatever out of the sack, growl, and throw it on the ground... Oh well, I tried...
A lot of times I will be prompted by Holy Spirit to give to a certain person. Example, if a certain waitress goes the extra mile or if he or she is having a difficult time in their life, I give extra and in cash. If we are really listening then God will help with discernment.
Thank you Pastor for the learning I think when comes to God changing His mind or retracted His Words is like when He hardened the hearts of evil people so that they wouldn't repent and shall be forgiven. So God had made up His mind to punish, and to forgive those who repented. Its like we could made up our minds to respect freedom of speech while could argue back if we disagree. Some people might repented and be forgiven from calamity but still in the momentum of evil, so the timing of the repentance is also a risk thing
Dear Pastor Paul and dear Sue, I listened to you answer about christians joining the military. It has created a question in me for a long time and if we are supposed to ultimately be like Christ (Godliness), didn't Jesus live a life of love and humility and letting go of his interests for the sake of others? What if we christians say no to joining the military and successfully spread the word so that we can be the cause of end of all wars in this world? How can there be a 'logical war' when Jesus explicitly instructed us to love our enemy? May God bless you.
Hi Pastor Paul and Mrs. Sue, thank you so much for your great explanations! You're both such amazing teachers! I've learned more from this channel in a few years than I did for around 15 years growing up in my childhood church. I've always wondered about the passages in the gospels where Jesus goes to the desert and gets tempted by satan the reason why satan claims he can give Jesus authority over all the nations. Since we know Jesus is the son of God wouldn't He already have all this authority? I guess I'm confused about how satan gets all this authority over humanity and I would love some passages that reveal it. I have heard of the Unseen Realm and the principalities, the watchers...all these things that seem to come from the book of Enoch which we don't consider part of the canon so I'm unsure if that book even counts when researching this topic. Thanks again for all your wonderful guidance through the amazing Word of God. Question please....why did Jesus choose Jonah as a 3 days in the fish reference regarding his death? Jonah was in active rebellion. There are so many other prophets he could have chosen... Also how do I know that I am not delivering myself when trying to resolve problems in challenging times?
If we fall short by sin and since we are under God’s grace does it mean that we will not have consequences for our actions when we know better ? Is there a such thing as being in the wilderness, famine land, or wrath in reality?
Consequences to sin still apply to Christians just like anyone else. "What a man sows so also will he reap" is a constant principal. Through disobedience and stubbornness, Christians can certainly wander in the wilderness, but the word "wrath" never really applies to a child of God. Instead, the Bible tells us "God disciplines those whom He loves." (Hebrews 12:6)
I read The Message several years ago .. I found it gave me a nice overview of the message, like a story book. I wouldn’t recommend it for study, but I think it has some merit for new Bible readers.

At 45:30 it triggered something by a man I was dating who asked me a similar question. He was musing that, maybe it didn't count if he lusted after me because that would make him more-so desire me to be his wife. Would such a thought provoke anyone to misuse 1 Corinthians 7:9 and jump into marriage based on those desires?

Note: The Passion is a "translation" that is dangerous and you are best off never opening that . Brian Simmons' concoction is full of error and completely and entirely unreliable. It was not translated by credible scholars who have a command of the biblical languages.
The point of what we were saying is that NOTHING has been omitted!! When the ESV translated the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts they translated EVERYTHING that was in those manuscripts. The fact that there are word differences with the King James Version doesn't mean one is right and one is wrong. It just means they are translating different manuscripts.
