It looks really nice, but the layout reminds me of the CSB 2020 large print personal size that I have... And honestly I don't like reading from that. It's a perfect example of large print being nice, but you need more space between the lines for a pleasant, comfortable reading experience. I agree about the maps. They are the exact same that are in my CSB. Matte finished paper, heavier than Bible paper (as it should be, I've had maps printed on regular Bible paper that have crinkled and the ink has worn away. So maps should always be on slightly heavier stock to prevent that from happening). And I like how they have a modern design to them. Overall it's a handsome volume. But I think I would personally wait for a single column version for a more comfortable reading experience.
Replying to my original comment because I ended up buying this. I'm really impressed, actually. The font they use is marginally different than the one they used for the CSB and... That difference makes it easier to read. I still think that they could have reduced the font size from 11.25 to just 11 point and used the extra space to put between the lines for ease of reading. That would have made it perfect for me. But as it is, it's good. The leather is thicker than I expected. It does have that Cambridge feel. The paper is decent, although I think there's a bit too much show through. They should have gone for more opacity, even with the line matching. But overall this is very good, and I'm pleased. As far as mid-range Bibles go, you can't get much better. It seriously would have been a 10 out of 10 Bible if they had more opaque paper, a little bit more space between the lines, and one more ribbon.
It's a nice bible, but the thing that kills me about it (and other LPPS bibles) is a large font and too few words per line. I read relatively fast and it causes my eyes to bounce back and forth from line to line and it gives me a headache. Now a Large Print Personal Size Single column would remedy that. Like the CSB edition. As always, great review brother 😊

@@msctshrly Aaand I just saw the revision of 2 Timothy 3:17 yesterday...they got a bit carried away with the gender accuracy...so I won't get it after all 😬
@@grantkruger3689 I think they simply followed their practice of rendering anthropos with so-called “gender accuracy.” I know we have memorized it as “the man of God,” as if Paul is speaking only to preachers, but Scripture is profitable for the teaching, correcting, and training of women too.
Is the paper any better than the Lockman 2020? Is it any better than current Zondervan paper? If the paper and print was close to the Zondervan giant print personal size (isbn 978-0-320-62778-4 which is OOP), I'd jump on this.
