I praise God for Paul Washer's consistency. He makes sure he is not caught up in the us vs them and even though those who have the truth seems to be going more militant on the cultural wars and such He is quick to remind us that we are no better apart from the grace of God and no matter whats happening in the world, all people are image bearers and need to be treated as such.

I wish to say thank you to all of you. My husband will be going to HBU in the fall, he works as a welder now and we have been studying scripture and learning from y'all as well as others. Being Born again late, I thought I was saved my entire life, I was not, until the end of 2019 where it was like getting punched in the gut so to speak. A whole world I never knew. Once you are born again and read scripture and hear and every day something new to learn and understand until the day we die, God has truly blessed my house in both of us being born again. I like what Washer said about the policeman and how he’s important to God’s plan. That’s why I feel importance in the work I do as a reading interventionist. I help people learn to read and comprehend well so that one day they will be able to read the word of God for themselves.

I enjoyed every light on biblical thoughts and teachings that not only Pastor Washer said but Tom Ascot , whom I had not heard before, he is great and I agreed with all he said. The Good Samaritan was not a conscious Christian -but still did a great thing, by Christ. The right motive by Christ was the caring of others, selflessly, and the kindness and decency of his nature. The judgement of those who are kind and good but never understood the true nature of Christ is yet to be known by MEN, isn’t it? As a Christian I pray there may well be some way of salvation for those unbelievers on their very death bed (invisibly to us)…. IF it be God’s will. We cannot judge others or think ourselves in any way superior or sanctimonious. We are sinners. The ones we judge as “unbelievers” may well be lesser sinners than us - GOD ALONE KNOWS. What we can do is set a beautiful example - as we know the Gospel. We must work hard to love outsiders even if they remain outside.

I believe the “all of Christ for all of life” reasoning of Kuyper. But I never knew about the laziness that it creates, such as the staying home and writing a newspaper. I never once thought about how some people seem to think that that must mean there is nothing that is more sacred. Thanks be to God who gave us these men.

For true believers weather it’s Christian, Catholic or Protestant it all boil down to the fear of offending God and not grieving him. If you’ve the fear and are great full you’ll pray for loving the Lord and having a deep relationship with him so we could have the graces to be faithful and not grieve him with our life.🙏🏼God does enlighten his children how he wants things to be done and how easily we sin against him. So let pray for each other and allow God to work in each one of us how ever he sees it fitting. I pray for conversion for all and that the Lord will blesses them to have a deeper relationship with him.

I truly love all of the teaching and preaching that all of you are doing. I am a Seventh Day Adventist and I converted from the Evangelical denomination. All of you are so learned in Biblical doctrines and well versed in scripture. What I don't understand is how you all can not see that there is no where in scripture that changed the Sabbath to Sunday. Can you can prove to me that you are worshipping on the correct day? What happened to the protest of the Catholic Church? Don't you think your forefathers would be disappointed in where you have taken your denomination? Listening to one of the speakers out of the gate, as I was not watching the video, and I hear a supposed Christian minister obsessed with God's judgement of sin, do looking and no surprise it is Paul Washer; one who speaks as though the New Testament and the Atonement are not finished works, and that God hasn't already demonstrated his abundant love for humanity (the Abba or fatherly type of affectionate love) for all individuals of mankind, though the Advent and sacrifice of His Son.

We must each do what the Lord has called each of us to. But, building up the Body is what Paul taught. Be Brave, believe that you have the mind of Christ, and live a life of freedom to do as Christ has called. One of the wonderful gifts we have is the Spirit of Christ to guide us, and we need to have His Word dwell in us richly. The “secret things belong to God”, but we are told in 2 different places that God confides in those who fear Him. Jesus walked with the Father. We must walk”in His Spirit.”. We also must not expect oil and water to mix. We are told not to cast pearls before swine. “Creativity” in our ideas, under the Spirit’s control is something that God used to Create the universe. But we must always remember that the unbelievers call the Word of God “foolishness” but God uses the “foolish things of this world to humble those who believe they are the “elite” and “intelligentsia”.…the Gospel is considered “Foolishness”to the world’” In 1 Corinthians 1:18, 19

The discussion of the sacred vs secular is a really complex and important one so it's good that some light was shed upon it, although Beeke kinda confused things for me. As Voddie said, there is no real distinction between secular or sacred because all things were made by, through, and for Christ and everything we do has spiritual significance and we will have to give account for it and it also serves a good purpose while we are in Christ. So a preacher can't accurately say that time spent reading your Bible is sacred but time spent watching TV has no spiritual significance at all and God doesn't really care about that because it's a secular act; both those things are false. Also, an evangelist has a spiritual job but they cannot and should not demean a grocery store worker or something and say that retail jobs have no spiritual significance and can't be done to the glory of God because they can. Beeke confused the issue of sacred vs secular with the issue of preferring to emphasize certain things while disregarding others things that God has clearly pointed out as chiefly important. It's not that choosing to stay home and do private devotions would be more or less sacred than assembling with Christian brethren at congregation services or that one thing is sacred while the other is secular, it's just a fact that we are commanded to do both so for anyone to prefer one over the other so much so that they willfully neglect the least preferred one is sin. This wouldn't be distinguishing one act as sacred and another as secular, it would rather be to live in this false reality where you can partially do what God says and call yourself spiritual while intentionally disobeying him in another area. God's will doesn't require that we disobey in some areas in order to obey in others and if anyone thinks they are doing that then distinguishing between sacred and secular is not their issue-pride and lack of wisdom is. As far as vocation is concerned, I don't think that Christians are less joyful because they feel like their job is more secular than for instance a full-time pastor's job but if they could only recognize how their job has spiritual significance then they would be more joyful about doing it. The fact of the matter is that some people are providentially placed in fulfilling jobs while others are not, and regardless of whether one feels their job gives glory to God or not, if they don't like it and they don't feel rewarded for doing it then it's difficult to do it consistently with a positive attitude. Meanwhile most pastors happen to understand the spiritual significance of their job AND actually enjoy what they do and feel somewhat rewarded for it, thus they do it with a more positive attitude. 🤷‍♂️

How about we say it doesn’t matter about how many good acts we all do for each other the simple truth is we wear rags But when we walk in the light Jesus can give us a garment of salvation and a robe of righteousness! Simple I learned this from Derek prince :) we were made to worship. Worship the Trinity we can see in this time how hard it is to do this. Rejoice in the Lord. As much as Muslims pray in a day we Christian’s should be proclaiming and worshipping the Lord out loud. It took me a long while to understand and NOW I do the hard work of remaining there in the light. Why can’t we all do this. Our sin nature will never allow it. The sword is the word of God it is sharp enough to cut through us and separate our man nature to reach our spirit nature. Hope this makes sense to someone out there!
