The key is to have those who have been walking in the Way to share frankly where they were and where the Spirit has corrected them….the more older believers are taking opportunities to share where they have been crooked and made straight….the more the younger generation can have their eyes opened to the twisting of the adversary-
The first question i have is upon what basis do i see the bible as the word of God? This discussion presupposes tht our version of the Holy Book, but how do we know our biased view is correct, but the Muslims view of rhe Quaran is wrong?
I DO believe in the "authority" of scripture. But my problem is the fact that throughout history, there have been vast differences of belief among folks who claim to believe in Biblical authority. History and experience is FULL of examples of Christians using "Biblical authority" as an excuse to believe and/or practice almost anything they want to. That being the case, does believing in Biblical authority do anything to actually protect us from believing or practicing error? I like Keller's comments here concerning this topic. But I still didn't hear an answer to my question.
