I struggled with lust. I fell into pornography and self satisfaction. I dealt with this for about four years. But God came and healed me ! And it was only when I truly repented and sought God that I got healed. So let this be your reminder that God still heals and hears our prayers. Don’t be afraid or ashamed HE cares for us. 1 Peter 5:7 ♡︎ Amen Hallelujah 🙏🏾✝️❤️

The struggle is real, but thats precisely the reason Jesus was crucified on that cross, so we could also overcome sin and lust, which is indeed one of the most destructive sins one can deal with.

Dear God, deliver me from lustful thoughts.

What REALLY helped me with overcoming lust when I became a Christian was asking God to take away my sexual desires until it is time for me to get married. I know that they were a gift from Him, and He has so graciously taken them and tucked them away for safe keeping until I need them again. I also am careful of what I watch, read, etc. to be responsible and not stir those feelings up again. If you reading this are struggling with this I would encourage you to ask Him to do the same for you! 🙏🏼

"I will live a fulfilled life with or without a partner" - no safer place to be or else the presence of God. Prayer and words like this will doubtless strengthen the will to overcome. Though not a woman yet I'm so glad how the words of Christ coming through you helps all.

Thank you for mentioning, that for us women hormones have such a big impact on our feelings! Since I realized, that I have certain wishes and feelings always at the same time every month I was able to be a bit more compassionate to myself because I now know, that it's just part of my biology and will get back to normal in a couple of days... So, ladies, don't condemn yourselves for it!

I found out I was pregnant by a man I dated when I was in the world. Since I gave my life to Christ we are unequally yoked and he’s not worthy to be husband. It’s hard to deal with the fact I now have a baby with a man who isn’t nor would ever be my husband but I know Christ gives me strength and everyday he heals my heart 🤍

The crazy dreams where you wake up feeling like you sinned literally started with me the more God shielded me from lust in my day to day life.

Just 20 minutes ago i was struggling enough to praying for forgiveness and then this came out😭

That point about fantasizing and weird dreams IS SO REAL!!!

This video is an absolute blessing, I find myself dealing with desires that some days feel like a burden and so isolating. I was getting to know a guy I met recently and ultimately had to take space away from him because our values didn’t align and some days I feel that burning desire to keep him in my life he makes me feel so bubbly and it’s hard to give myself grace for still liking him. It’s also hard because I did find a lot of comfort and happiness in his company. I will pray about this and please pray for me to have strength and grace for this part of my life. I think Messages like this will really pull and stretch people but in a positive way. Sometimes we as believers forget that EVERY desire and "ambition" must be first submitted to the lord. If we don't do this we risk creating a false Idol in our hearts that MUST be destroyed. Great message Deborah.

This is SO ON TIME ! I’ve been avoiding talking to God, I’ve allowed my heart to harden so that i can entertain my desires without the guilt , I’ve been giving into the loneliness and didn’t want the “burden “ of upholding Gods words and feeling like the only one set apart always

God does have a husband for you 💯 lol I just feel this strongly even though it’s not guaranteed. God grants the desires of the righteous heart. You don’t idolize marriage & that’s where you have to be before your spouse is revealed. It’s a beautiful thing to be content with just you & God 🫶🏽

A thing that I’ve observed in the body of Christ is that we often times use the scripture seek ye first the kingdom of God for everything except for when it comes to marriage. Suddenly we don’t have to seek God on this matter. We have to understand that marriage is one of that thing that will be added unto you. The same way you know the other things were of God for you, is the same way you’ll know when God send you you’re spouse.

The fact that I woke up this morning and asked God that if I do end up dating again, to send me “the one”. The man that is God fearing, the man that will love me and my kids unconditionally (and vice verse), the man that will also be my very best friend, etc. This was right on time. I’m praying for us!!! Y’all the options out here are quite QUESTIONABLE 🥴

I wished that I had never gone to my older brother's room and looked at his computer would kept me from a lot of hardships, but thankfully God saved me His mercy is great.

Girl, God has been using you to directly help me on my walk with Him. Along with my prayer for finances (which God answered amazingly!), I've also been praying this week about a guy who I've happened to recently reconnect with. After months of being fine, i find my feelings have reemerged THIS week. You've reminded me to put my emotions back on the altar, and to be ok with whatever the Lord says, because His love is much more than enough!! Please continue to pray for me sis🙏🏾💕

Now I've finally watched it 😊.......It's so interesting watching your video Deborah, everything you've said is a great view and I've had this conversation in the past with single sisters and that mindset actually was on a come and go basis...like seasons. What you are 100% about..... now I'm a person that's married...that God is all you need and I don't say that in a disresepctive way towards my husband but I thought I understood what marriage was but I actually didn't until I was married. There's a lot of balancing to go through in a marriage, yes there's a lot of blessed times before the marriage getting to know each other and yes there's blessings during the marriage but the getting to know each other is on a different level. Sexual intimacy...a lot of married couples will mask and say their's is great, but it is a time of getting to know each other and it can be awkward at times.... additionally, we spend so much time abstaining from sex that when we are allowed to be sexually intimate in marriage it can feel like you're sinning...seriously there's quite a bit of re-jigging in marriage...this also includes all the sexual health issues that can be revealed about either or both spouses and learning how to work with that. People will need to be willing to work at marriage and not want to be running for a divorce when something doesn't turn out as they want because everything popular that was said about marriage doesn't match up to what they're experiencing. Enjoy Jesus like never before while single because it will change and take another shape....remember when you're married your husband is head of the home and there's to be no more independent woman, not saying a woman doesn't have any freedom but over all the husband is the head of the home and you have to consider each other so you can't go off and do everything the way you did while you were single....like spending a whole day just spending time with God, your husband/wife may not want to fast and pray when you do....this is where you can feel lonely. A person can seem very close to God while getting to know them but when on a daily basis behind closed doors that can look different to how it did when you use to meet up in the week and wave goodbye and go to your own homes. I don't want to seem negative about marriage, I just want to give my opinion on the truth of marriage in Christ. Deborah B...you are giving the best and wisest advice you can to the single Christians and like I said I've had that same perspective when I was single with my sisters in Christ praying for our warrior mighty man of God lol, my husband wasn't that type of mighty man of God but he is amazing in the way God has created him to be and he is certainly a light in the darkness within his work environment, he is beautifully bold in that environment and God had to reveal that to me that he may not seem so mighty man of God where you think but he is where I have him to be. We have to be prepared to receive God's best for us, God's good is not always what we consider good. God is going to get us to be formed to how He intends us to be even with our kicking and screaming because His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are higher than ours. Praise God for HIs faithfulness 😌the unveiling of every area of our lives is beautiful each time God restores those little areas of our lives to reflect Him. God bless you Deborah 💖

I agree if I am going to date someone the long-term goal is to become Husband and Wife, I am divorced over 4 years now and if it's the lords will that I be married again, Let his will be done.
