For what turned out to be our last bicycle ride in the Netherlands we took advantage of another beautiful and warm fall day and rode around Texel Island. It turned out that we were not the only ones with this idea and we saw thousands of bicyclists out enjoying another rare 70 F sunny October day. Texel Island did not disappoint and was a great way to finish up some wonderful bicycle riding during our three weeks in the Netherlands. Every bicyclist needs to holiday in the Netherlands and get exposed to the incredible bicycle infrastructure and how beautiful it is to ride through the country and towns. We ended up doing 10 different bicycle rides during our vacation including our 5-day tour from Brugges to Leiden.
