Biden Economy EXPLAINED

President Biden is trying to convince America that he deserves another four years in office. Key to that pitch: selling the economy.
Biden’s argument focuses on being pro-consumer and pro-union - and with an eye toward the middle class, which has been squeezed by high inflation and steep housing costs. He is also intent on implementing many of the landmark pieces of legislation - including on infrastructure and clean energy - passed during his first term. And he’s been putting a spotlight on wealthy Americans who he argues don’t pay their fair share in taxes.
“There’s more to be done,” Biden said during Thursday’s first presidential debate. “Working-class people are still in trouble.”
Many of his new proposals are likely to become law only if Democrats clinch both chambers of Congress in November. But in the meantime, Biden’s campaign success also rests on convincing voters that the economy is already performing well: The job market is booming, inflation is easing, and growth is keeping up at a steady pace. Yet three years of hot inflation and a long stretch of high interest rates have left a lot of voters with the gloomy sense that the economy isn’t working for them. And many put the blame on Washington.

corporations have been equally greedy for the entirety of human history. In a competitive market "greedflation" can't exist as anyone who tries to abitarily raise prices out of "greed" and not based on actual market factors will then see their competitors not use those tactics and then steal a large market share of those companies, making the "greedflation" pointless with the reduction in revenue. The idea that you or the government or anyone else can say what is a "fair" price increase is exactly the socialist-style thinking that leads to price controls and economic collapse. There are many economic factors that determine the prices set by any given company. You have to understand everything about how that company is structured, its supply chain, its credits and debts, etc. Fair competition limits how much any single business can charge. It's not the POTUS's job or place to tell businesses how much to charge for their products. If he wants to help the economy lower prices and interest rates, he needs to stop sending big checks overseas with no oversight and stop printing money. Also, instead of making taxpayers subsidize worthless college degrees, maybe he should withhold public funding for colleges until they get their costs and tuition price to a reasonable level. Universities shouldn't be able to sit on billion dollar endowments while collecting taxpayer funds to pay people like Elizabeth Warren $400k to teach one class, while she also gets to vote on their funding. Tax credits for first time homebuyers is a great way to add gasoline to the inflation of housing. It’ll do the same thing that the pell grant did for education it’ll make it so the only way anybody can afford a house is with the tax credit. I don’t mind tax exemptions, but those already exist. Also, I’m not in support of it, but if you wanted to go after corporate greed, you’re better off going after the CEO’s ability to pay himself millions and millions of dollars for running a company that loses money and fires lots of people. Companies need to be able to control their own pricing in order to stay flexible in an always changing market but CEOs don’t need to be able to make millions of dollars to run a company into the ground.

We let two scoops sit in office for a bit, Houses cost more which helps me but definitely not most Americans. I pay more for groceries & everything else compared to before his arrival, Crime has increased a lot since then as well. I was happy with the tariff increase & interest rate increase. I think he needs to focus on manufacturing, Tupperware recently closed it's last factory in the USA. All current retail Tupperware is made over seas.
