Thanks for this brother. Your ability and willingness to speak out on social and political issues is what separates you from your contemporaries and why I’ve always been such a huge fan. Your commentary is spot on here and I guess we’ll see what happens next. They forced him out, so if this last minute gambit doesn’t work out..well it will be a catastrophe of their own making. And they’ll have to carry this shame, just like today’s 2016 Jill Stein voters.

I was relieved to see Joe Biden step down, he deserves to retire and have some peace at the end of his life with everything his family has been through. I hope that Kamala has been groomed behind the scenes.

As someone who comes from a country with compulsory voting - VOTE! It doesn't have to be compulsory, but it is a duty of living in a democratic society (as for the difference between our voting - fairly sure our history as a penal colony meant we weren't trusted to make the decision for ourselves 😉 so they fine us if we don't)

In my opinion, we should stay away from identity politics. Go through the democratic process and let the delegates decide who the strongest candidate is for the Democratic Party.

@Randy_Richmond But she hasn't been anointed. Are you ignorant of how it works? The DNC Convention allows for anyone to be nominated for the nominee and the state delegates will vote for them. Kamala is not automatically the winner here. She has to go thru the whole process and beat out any other nominee that is proposed at the convention. Come on now.

@@JohnRochaSays I meant no disrespect. I just mean there’s been tv hosts like Rachel Maddow and others who basically said not anointing Kamala would be racist/sexist - hence identity politics. I’ve agreed with everything you said. We need a fair democratic process through delegates and if that happens to be Kamala, fantastic. But she needs to earn it through a fair process like everyone else.

He was going to destroy Biden. All the polls suggested as such. Biden didn’t step down out of the goodness of his heart. That is not his nature. He stepped down because he was told to and Kamala was the stronger option.
