Jost's grandfather was right: this is a decent man. He's smart, he's walked the tightropes of every direction, quietly governing , getting the government to help the majority of ordinary Americans. He's also stood up for Western ideals...he went into a war zone in body, but also is doing his best to supply Ukraine with what it needs to help protect the world order that is gradually improving.

I didn’t expect to tear up during Jost’s monologue, His tribute to his firefighter grandfather hit the nail on the head. He voted for Biden because he’s a decent man. All the challenges Biden is facing right now does not take away from his basic human decency. I can only imagine that if the countries at the root of the world’s current problems were led by decent people, we wouldn’t be in the mess we’re in right now.

Biden had some good zingers, but the best part of the dinner speech was the end of Colin's set. The last 5 minutes or so, he talks about his grandfather. Truly great story and commentary.
