An interesting dynamic at work. It appears some analysts cherish democracy so long as the candidate chosen by the electorate conforms to their views. A core question not asked would be whether either US party will respect the will of the American people following the next election, which some consider the ultimate test of how well a Western democracy functions. That said, it will be truly unfortunate if the rest of the world feels the knock on effect of an American political system which no longer has room for exceptional leaders. If I lived elsewhere, I would try to promote American isolationism any way possible, at least until our decades long insanity passes. We'll be back someday, it may just take a very, very long time. For once in our lifetime, does someone not suggest a useful idea, this man is old we all get there at some point, this debate should not have come as a surprise since we have all known his issues with stammering and thought process as we have already seen this in his speeches, his policy and actions he takes as US president he is still very capable of and America is doing very well economically, a lot better than Britain i might add, the speeches are only a small part of the job and someone else writes them anyway, why don't someone suggest he just hands the speeches over to his VP to do while he does the rest of the work.
