In the United States, we have the right to free speech and nonviolent protest. The KKK, Westboro Baptist and NAMBLA get to match and say outright heinous things, but we have a problem with mostly peaceful demonstration. The lack of peace being directly due to poor management by law enforcement. Westboro can say hateful things and a cop is there in seconds to scoop up anyone who begins to get physical. On the Free Palestine university protests they say back for an hour while violence broke out just so they arrest and clear everyone. Whether you agree with the message shouldn't matter. I am not fond of the KKK or Free Palestine protests, but I support their right to exercise free speech.
