We have made it through CBB March Madness and the NCAA Tournament, college basketball and hoops discussion is officially over until next March, back to the cfb offseason as spring games go on, with various top 10 teams having their spring game, the nfl draft approaches, and as the spring transfer portal window re opens, we have previously discussed the top 10 college football biggest winners and losers of the transfer portal so far, coaches on the hot seat going into the 24 2025 season, top 10 offenses, quarterbacks, running backs, group of five g5 teams, overrated teams, impact transfer qbs, how their transfer portal classes will impact the next cfb season in 2024, as well as the cfp and college football playoff race, which teams will be in my preseason way too early top 25 rankings, my aye Gee poll, conference power ranking and transfer portal rankings, already, so today we are power ranking the big 12 conference going into the 2024 2025 college football season. Teams on this list, and discussed, could include any conference, group of 5 or power 5, from any conference, whether its the AAC American, ACC, Big 12, Big Ten 10, SEC, Mountain West, Sun Belt, Conference USA, or another, today though we focus in on the big 12 giving essentially my picks predictions and projections in a mini preview for the year, not far off from the previous tier ranking these teams from pretenders, contenders, better luck next year, favorites, here we do my final still too early offseason preview power ranking before we give my preseason rankings post summer and pre regular season and week 0 and 1, teams include Utah with kyle whittingham and cam rising, Oklahoma State with mike gundy and ollie gordon, Colorado with shedeur and deion sanders, TCU with sonny dykes, Baylor with dave aranda, UCF with gus malzahn and kj jefferson and peny boone, Houston with willie fritz, Cincinnati without luke fickel, Arizona with noah fifita, Arizona State with willingham, BYU, Kansas with jalon daniels, Kansas State with avery johnson, Iowa State with matt campbell and rocco becht, West Virginia with neal brown and garrett greene, Texas Tech with tahj brooks as texas and oklahoma leave the conference.

Nice job! Why do you think UCF is so low? I'm talking in general because most people share your opinion. I'm biased btw, but our offense was only second to Oklahoma last season and we have even more weapons this season and a lot more depth. Not saying offense is everything but not like UCF defense could be worse than last season :)

UCF could definitely jump some of them I think, UCF was close last year in a lot of games they lost. I think defense will be improved, hard to get worse. If KJ Jefferson hit at QB I could easily see them top 5ish

Make this make sense You have a team that doesn't have Arizona's offensive line talent at number 1 Ok State with an average QB And you clearly don't realize just how great Arizona's secondary is Or their rb back room Or who has the better QB better Ok State or Arizona Cam Rising has who to throw the ball 🏈 to Dorian the walk on Singer doesn't make Utah great Please name the starting secondary for Ok State and tell me how are they better than Arizona Moving forward ⏩ San Jose State is the worst group of 5 job in the FBS Yet this guy beat Arkansas and has had multiple All Mountain West players And runs the ball Proof of that concept Quali Conley had over 800 yards as the number two running back at San Jose State Do you know what coach developed and recruited Brandin Cooks The Blikenkoff Award winner Who just had six 1k receiving yards in the NFL Brent Brennan did So to act like Brent can't coach or recruit or he won't be good at his dream job is insane Duane Akina is the reason why Arizona's defenses was like that And Brent is a better version of Kyle at Utah Utah had a gold mine once Urban Meyer left and won what Ok State is never going to be a serious playoff candidate Arizona was what in basketball 🏀 before Lute Snowden made Arizona good Lute Olson took Tucson to an entire other level Arizona has had two Thorpe Award winners in the past They have been known from folks that actually follow college football 🏈 as a defensive mind football team Before Rich Rod or Arizona's 1998 team Brent played wide receiver And knows how important defense is Once Arizona wins the Big 12 in 2024 Jacob Manu What linebacker in the Big 12 is better T Mac What wide receiver that is draft ready is better And folks are sleeping on the fact That Jedd really didn't like to run the ball like that So please tell me Ok State rb back is 😎 cool Jacory Croskey-Merritt had 17 TDS on an average offensive line along with almost 1200 yards So what do think 🤔 is going to happen once the season starts With him having the best offensive tackle in the Big 12 that is draft ready for 2025 And Conley and Speedy Luke are right behind him Now back to defense What 3 teams is Arizona losing To in 2024 K State lost a lot Utes are highly overrated Rising scares no one Either does Singer Does Utah or K State have a better secondary than Arizona No they don't And the simple fact on the bond that the players in Tucson is insane Is K State or Utah or West Virginia or Kansas on Texas or Oklahoma level No they are not and never will be Arizona on the other hand even with Coleman and Ephie going to Washington and Bill Norton going to Texas Once they win the 2024 It is going to be the same affect that Lute Olson had for Arizona basketball 🏀 Except it will be quicker and the boosters are spending 💰 and ready to throw money into their football program Reason being one they know they have a playoff candidate team in 2024 Two that they never liked being trapped in the PAC 12 when they were more of a Big 12 team Oregon was average at best till Phil Khight invested and Miami was not a thought 💭 until they started winning Noah Jacob Manu Tacario Davis and T Mac and Gunner Malando didn't come back to Tucson just to average in the Big 12 Arizona 🛑 stopped the run in 2023 And return all except one person from their secondary that played against the best conference of QBs So what QB in the Big 12 is going to scare Arizona defense Arizona played a C minus game against Colorado in 2023 and T Mac still had over 100 yards and the Buffs still didn't get over 100 yards rushing and over 300 yards passing My point is that Folks see the coach come from San Jose State and don't realize the returning players mentality or the coach's mentality at all And say that he might go 10 wins at best Or 7 or 8 win floor Huh With three potential first round draft picks that is beyond delusional It is playoffs or bust in Tucson

Y'all are just talk for now. Go out and prove it. Arizona lost a bunch of dudes. You haven't been here for a single season so I wouldn't expect you to know OSU football all that well. They are 23-3 at home since 2020, have been in 2 of the last 3 conference titles, and bring back the 3rd most production in the nation. They are one of 10 teams (#5) in the nation with a winning record against the top 25 over the last 10 years. OSUs weak point was defense, but that's because they broke in a new DC and went from a four man front to a three man front. Bowman is not great, but he still threw for 3600 yards and didn't play in most of 3 games. The receiving core is pretty damn good, and Ollie Gordon could have a hell of a year if the o line is as good as they say. I hope you guys are as good as you say, tho. I fecking hate Utah and would rather not replay a game for the Big 12 title.

What a wild take, WVU has done more in college football than Arizona could ever dream of doing. Arizona has 6 conference titles, 10 bowl wins, and is ranked 57th all time wins. WVU has 15 conference titles, 17 bowl wins, and is 15th all time wins. Facts don't lie mate.

Really? Arizona has it's first winning season since 2017 and now you rule the college football world? Arizona lost half their team to the transfer portal. How can you talk about a bond between players? With all the new players coming in, with a new Coach, with a new system Arizona will not have any continuity. Cam Rising should be a quarterback that Arizona fears. Both times Arizona played against him, Utah destroyed Arizona.
