So hello!
I decided to make a video about this, since I could t find one. I’d really like to thank Paul from Jeepcables.com for contacting me and walking me through a few things I was missing. Hope this helps someone out. Please let me know if I missed anything!

No joke, man! Even after verifying that everything worked, I still muttered a little prayer when I cut the OEM wires with a pair of tin snips (what I had on hand)

Did you go with the 2 gauge or the 2/0 gauge kit? You answered a previous question with 2 gauge but mentioned 2/0 in the video. Just wanted clarification.

The factory wire on the starter, does it stay or get deleted.

Factory wire on the starter gets cut. And believe me man, that’s the toughest connection to make in the whole process. Hence the mantra.

Hey man! That boot was super simple to slip on. Just make sure you thread it on first.

The last run of JK Jeep Wranglers that rolled off the assembly line before they started making the current model of Wranglers, (JL and JLU). They made three generations of the JK jeep, since it was in production for over 10 years, and very little info was released about performing this upgrade on this year model, which prompted me to make this video.

@@MikeLearned but what makes it different? 11-12 was interior changes, hard top changes, engine change. What changed from 17-18?

@@benitoig1in 2018 Jeep made the last of the JK's and started making JL's. Engine was different, interior was different, and the external got an aluminum makeover. But as far as JK's go, I can't remember what year the engine changed, but they went from a previous version to a Pentastar V6 (minivan engine). Which is most likely why I couldn't find a lot of info on performing this upgrade before.
