Big Bear & Kodiak ATV Leave The Cave While The Old Honda Goes To The Grave!

This is the rest of the video from last weekend. As you can see from the title, yes, the old 86 Honda TRX 350 Fourtrax 4x4 seems to have seized up. Took a quick look and it isn't the starter gears so I guess I will have to tear it apart one day and see what's going on. The Can-Am went in for it's 10 (which was really 16) hour check up and we are getting them to change the cv boot while it is in there. Should be able to pick it up next weekend.

sromrell LOL...amazing how tough this ATV has been....it has a ton of miles on it from before we owned it and it has never let us down....Honda is in retirement but hoping one day to get her fixed up again!

quaddingsous The Honda has always been bullet proof, but it does have a "gazillion" miles put on before we got it. I'm sure eventually I will rip it apart..might not ever get back together though LOL Thanks for watching.

i had a kodiak 400 that was super strong and would go bout anywhere. best atv I've ever had. nice and small and nimble, plenty of power.

Nice video...our swamp in northern Wisconsin is already thawed. I had both rubber boots sucked off my feet while cutting wood. Too bad adout the honda. Looking forward to the next video. Hope everything is going well with cubbee's health.

I have a 2001 arctic cat 300 5 speed 4x4. The 4wd doesn't work tho but it still goes through anything because of a low, medium and high range sub transmission. I beat the hell out of it no issues at all. Has 6200 miles on it

Speaking of Grizzly where is the BIG GREEN machine haven't seen it in a while.The big bad wheelie machine must be hibernating through the winter it is a Grizzly after all lol. anyway I hope you guy's are doing well and that the big bad Cubbee is ok no bad news this week is hopefully good new's we hope. +Gern Blanston We use the gopro hero 30 black cameras along with a sony handheld once in awhile. We then use the SENA audio backpack for gopro to record our conversations.

I wouldn't give up on the ol honda. I had a Honda XL 185 I thought I had seized. I tried kicking it over and solid. I ended up letting it set and put some oil down the cylinder. It freed it up. So I wouldn't give it up for dead yet.

Any time spent on the trail is time well spent in my book. It does something special to the soul that you just can't get anywhere else. You guys are in my prayers and I know you will be just fine when everything comes to pass. Stay positive and you can't fail. Trust me.... I've been through a lot of crap that someone of 33 years shouldn't need to deal with medically. I've had 3 open heart surgeries over the years , and a melody valve put in just this last year. Remember that the best road to recovery is lined with dirt and fresh air. : )

A little oil in the cylinder of the honda and a breaker bar on the flywheel bolt and she should be good to go

TReaD113 I did spray some WD40 in there when it happens, so I'll have to check that out. I think it might be something to do with the timing chain as it had issues before.

I like the video it was good but on the bike that jost stop you need to get stabilizer for the gas and maybe the bike did not have oil in it and that's why it lock up you need to flood the engine with oil and let if sit for a good while then try to start it it will loosen the gears up and wean you get it started stop it then drain all the oil out from it good then fill it to wear it needs if then start it agian and it should work did it for the lawn mower and it work your friend and fan mark

When it is cold the Honda does "clank" a bit...once it warms up, not so bad. I guess 30 years old ..could be time for a rebuild!

The Grizzly is more modern, power steering/diff lock / different suspension but both are great reliable ATV's. We still have the Big Bear, and it runs great. Thanks for watching.

We used to have a 2000 Honda, but we sold it to make room...didn't have any other place to store it so we found it a new home.
