Bro, I came here to see if I can learn some pro Guile gameplay. I know Caba can easily wipe the floor with me, but damn 💀 All I learned was don't mess with Big Bird
@@biggamallafluer2758 Not so much; Marisa's level 1 and 2 are basically trash, so she often has 3 bars more so than a lot of other characters. She can pressure quite heavily in the corner with strings that don't require drive gauge, leading to people getting flustered and throwing out an easily blocked reversal. If anything, you usually get a charged fierce into the punish combo, not just a whiff punish cr.strong confirm. That said, Luke can do basically the same thing by just doing roundhouse fierce > cancel over and over into a basic combo into level 3 and do similar damage. 5-minute training mode practice for something much easier to use/land.
He threw out an easily punished button versus a fully stocked character. Luke would have done similar damage midscreen while being better in basically every way short of max HP, I guess?
SF6 is a game of scrambles, there's next to zero true neutral thanks to drive rush and parry. Marisa can force scrambles fairly easily. That isn't the issue with her in high level play tournaments. The issue is, when she's the one under that pressure, she's basically screwed. Because of that, you have to play somewhat conservative even if you've got the opponent in burnout because of her being easy to react to if the person playing her isn't smart. She may dish out damage, but if she gets caught trying to force, that near win gets snatched away by a meta character just going ham off a hit into a massive corner carry into throw loops or something.
