I had my baby boy in March 2020 right when the world got crazy.😳 We weren’t allowed visitors, and my husband couldn’t even leave to pick up food for us. It did end up being nice to have the first two days just us and baby as a brand new family. Really special time together🤍 Wishing you luck and sending prayers for a safe mom & baby!💕

I had my son that month too! He was born when the first case in the county was in the hospital. It was such a scary time. I got to work from home a bit after my leave was over so I got extra time with my little baby so I’m grateful for that.

I've only ever heard good stories about inductions! My older brother was overdue so my mom had to to be induced to get him out and then when I came along she went ahead and scheduled an induction for me because she said it was so much better to have a date set, chill out, relax, not rush to the hospital, and get the epidural right when she wanted to - and it was over in no time! Hopefully this helps combat the more complicated induction stories you've heard. I can't believe Miss Baby is almost here! I don't think I could be more happy for a couple of internet strangers. I genuinely feel so proud of you for the journey you've been on and emotional at the thought of you finally getting your little unicorn baby (like a rainbow baby, but even more awaited?? idk just made that up). Lots of love and good vibes!

I was also not allowed to have guests at the hospital due to covid but I was so happy... I could not bear having to see people in that state of absolute madness! It was me my partner and the baby, perfect!

My sister was induced because of a pre existing condition and she didn’t have any issues. Your body can handle so much more than you think! Don’t be scared of child birth. You were made for this and you have the best birth partner that knows what you need. I can’t wait to meet Miss Baby. You and Grant will be amazing parents and Luna Bean Casserole will be a great big sister. You’ve already figured out the trick for harmony. Talk to Miss Baby while occasionally making eye contact with the dog and doggie thinks it’s all about her!

Hi Leigh Ann! It’s been so helpful and comforting to go through this with some one . I found out I was pregnant ( surprise!) after 16 years about 3 weeks after you. We are also having a baby girl, and I am also high risk due to age and some abnormal test results early on. I also feel lucky to see our baby girl at weekly high risk ultrasounds. In a way, I get to see what’s up ahead by watching your vlogs since our O.B’s seem to be following similar protocols. Thank you so much for the comfort and help you have provided by blogging the process , this internet stranger is so grateful! ❤️❤️ it’s really helped me get out if my head, and realize many women are going through the same things, and to not freak out as much about all the extra testing and precautions. Yay! It’s almost Miss Baby’s Birthday. Best wishes and all the 🍪❤️

Was induced December 2020 with covid precautions. Looking back I was happy not having guests the first two days of my sons life it was so nice to just have time with me and my husband in the room since it was a huge adjustment. Also had our son 12 hours after being induced my induction was not planned but I loved it. I soaked up all the time I had left just my husband and I. The only thing that was weird was giving labor in a mask.

All 3 of my kids were induced. My body just never went into labor on its own and only with my youngest did my water break on its own. And all 3 are healthy...now 23, 19, and 15. You've got this! Deep breaths momma 💛

Good story!I was induced due to high blood pressure two weeks early. Opted for the epidural as soon as possible, and had him vaginally. Honestly the easiest part of the whole pregnancy lol.

I was induced at 39 weeks and 4 days because my water was leaking and I loved labor! I was having contractions but not progressing so I went in and had to get induced. I labored for 12 hours, pushed for 30 minutes and he was here! Of course going naturally is what everyone hopes for but if you do have to get induced, don’t let it stress you out. You got this mama 💕

This is getting so real! They never used to set induce dates so many of us would go as long as 42 weeks and really be suffering! Crossing my fingers Miss baby starts coming all on her own! Keep an eye out for your mucas plug next! Love you 🤗😘🤗😘

@Rachel Harville yes i went overdue and had a 10lb baby with 3 layers of tearing and my first 2 births were all natural no epidural but finally the last one i had a much better experience! Crazy how far they have come my youngest is 24.

Both my induction went AWESOME. (My 2nd&3rd child) I drove myself to hospital and had my girls within 5 hours. It was great because same staff I had when I came in was there when baby arrived. Incredibly rewarding for everyone. I hope you have a similar experience. 🤗🤗🤗

I had no progression when I was pregnant with my son, which was my first and only pregnancy. I stayed dilated at 1 for 2 weeks, and finally my OBGYN decided to set a date to induce me. I went to the hospital at 5am on a Tuesday and I was still at a 1. They started my Pitocin drip at 7am. My water broke on it’s own at 8:10am, and I delivered a healthy 8lb 2oz baby boy at 11:20am and had lunch by noon. I pushed 3 times. Basically a textbook delivery. Every mom’s birth story is unique. Some maybe a little longer than others, but each one turns into a beautiful story. I promise whether your story is short like mine, or a little longer, she will be worth every minute. Congratulations to you and Grant. You both will be great parents.

I chose to get induced for my mental health. I hate the stigma around getting induced instead of going into labor on your own. There's absolutely nothing wrong with getting induced. I LOVED being induced! There was no panic, we were prepared when we went to the hospital and it was all very calm.

I was induced with my first at 36+4, loved it so much, loved being surrounded by medical professionals. About 8 hours of active labour, 10 hours from first painful contraction. There were some bumps but hey that’s labour! Can’t plan it like you can’t plan the weather. I was already 2cm before they started the induction, had cervidil at 11pm, waters broken at 8am, baby in my arms at 645pm. It was an amazing experience and I’m hoping to be induced with my next bub due in October. So excited for you! 💕

Just pausing while you're talking about induction. I was induced because I was high risk, and I was terrified because I had heard so many people talk badly about inductions. It went so well though for me! It was long (because nothing was working) but once I had the Foley catheter, it all went quickly! You got this!! ❤️

The first two days with Cervadil (could be spelled wrong haha) I was out shopping and just living my life. I was just frustrated because when I was getting induced I was just so darn excited to meet her, I just wanted it to happen 😂

I had preeclampsia with both pregnancies and was induced for both of them. Labor and delivery was a breeze. I had very rough pregnancies so I was not expecting to have labor go as smoothly as it did but I was very happy it did. If the hospital lets you walk around, walk for as long as you can. Do a figure 8 with your hips often. Those two things helped me tremendously! Sending you all my love and positivity for a smooth labor and delivery! 🖤

I was induced with my first and it was fine, just a long labour. Ended up going into labour naturally the day before I was supposed to be induced with my second! That labour was such a breeze!! You should absolutely be doing what is best and safest for both you and Miss Baby!!

I was a full induction! My due date was Oct. 28th and nothing was happening so on Nov. 7th my mother had a full induction and 24 hours later on Nov. 8th I was here. 25 years later and I'm happy and healthy! You've got this.

I loooooved being induced. My first went to 41w 6d. My second was induced at 41 weeks. My induction lasted only 6 hours. For real. I had an epidural the entire time so I felt almost no pain. The complete opposite of my first labor. I really want to get induced again.

I had my baby boy in April 2020. The hospitals were limiting visitors then. I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT, which was unexpected. Not having to worry about visitors was so nice. I was comfortable. I wore what I wanted. I had privacy while learning to breastfeed. It was wonderful and I will do the exact same thing for our next baby.

39 weeks and 1 day over here 👋🏻 I have my appt tomorrow to see if my body is headed in any direction of labor. I echo the feeling of all the emotions and just trying to focus on the baby getting here and it being safe and best for the both of us! Just to give you a bit of hope, I showed absolutely no signs of impending labor and my water spontaneously broke at 38 weeks with my first. My second was also born right at 38 weeks but that was a whole different experience. As for your break, absolutely take as long as you need/want. But also remember you’re becoming a mother not a martyr. It’s ok to want and need to do things outside of baby. Some people enjoy that all encompassing feeling of motherhood and for some it can feel like a weight. There’s no shame in taking a break but there’s also no shame in discovering you need something outside of baby to fill your time. Everyone’s journey is different but “motherhood not martyrdom” is my favorite phrase and I wish someone had talked to me about before my babies were born!

I was induced at 39 weeks. Best. Decision. Ever. Didn’t need Pitocin. Had a wonderful epidural, and after a very quick 9 hours I had a baby! It was hands down my favorite day ever. You will do amazing! Also, I can understand being sad about no visitors, but truly enjoy that time with just the three of you. I was so tired, trying to learn nursing/recover from birth and we had a steady stream of visitors. IT WAS A LOT. Once I heard about the no visitor thing when Covid started, I was secretly jealous that moms that gave birth during Covid got to have that day or two to just focus solely on themselves and baby!

I teared up with you at the end. Can’t believe it’s almost been 9 months since I watched your vlog on New Year’s Eve announcing you were pregnant and I cried along with you then too! We’ve had our own fertility journey and now have three little girls. It brought back such sweet memories for me with the mix of nervousness and excitement. I’m so happy for you to experience it all! I was induced and ended up with a somewhat emergency c section (because of issues you won't have). It really was no big deal. So if you're worried about that, don't sweat it. You're gonna do great. Miss baby is gonna do great. Trust your body and trust your medical team! 🍪🍪🍪🍪

I’m so very excited for you and Grant. It’s been a wonderful gift to watch your process of getting pregnant but mostly to watch your joy. It’s weird in a way to be so invested in people you technically don’t know but in the same sense you feel you do know. We’ve watched you meet Grant and get married and settle in and now this precious babe. I’m tearing up …Bless you all. And I can’t wait to see what else you’ll be up to in the future. My friend got the very early stages of induction (cervix softening pill) and an hour before full induction (pitocin) her water broke naturally and she went on her own. Fingers crossed you get a story like hers! So excited for you leighann! Good vibes and prayers to you miss baby and grant

I had two inductions that went pretty well. About 12 hours from starting on the Pitocin drip to delivering each of my girls. My advise: get the epidural, sooner rather than later, and before or soon after they rupture your membranes. Pitocin contractions can be intense and super painful, especially after your water is broken.

I was induced, no issues. Baby came within 8 hrs. Baby is 20 yrs old now. Enjoy the time with your sweet little one, the time goes by too fast.

I had 4 c sections. 2-4 I hoped for spontaneous labor and VbAC buuuuut the up in the crazy was so stressful. I feel like knowing this date and time is when it will be was pretty calming. Every person I know who was induced ended up with a healthy baby, healthy mom. It’ll be fine. I can’t wait to meet Miss Baby with the flowing hair!!!

I was Induced with my second this past April and it was an AMAZING experience. He came 12 hours later which was 13 hours sooner than with my first where my water broke naturally at 39w5d. You are going to do a wonderful job. Sending you prayers for a quick labor and delivery and a happy healthy baby. 😍 I had my first in 2017 with both my parents, father in law, brothe rand sister in law there. This time was just me and hubby and it was much more calm and relaxing this time.

My induction was probably my smoothest birth. I even managed to go med free. You'll most likely be fine. So excited for you guys! I can't wait to see you hold Miss Baby. 💜

I have PCOS and struggled to get pregnant too. I had to be induced and everything went well! We welcomed our little one in April. Remember you can do it! ❤️

That is amazing!! Having a baby is like waking up from a dream. No one tells you that when they get here and you finally get to hold them and see them that they are growing in that exact moment. You try to learn about them, but they will be totally different from the time you pick her up up the time you put her down...and then pick her back up the next time.Those nights when she won't go to sleep yet are just an opportunity feel like you can pause time a little tiny bit.Take it all in. Be as present as you can. You are going to make mistakes, and that is part of life and being a parent. Make your mistakes because you will show them how to fix them and deal with it all. All that baby needs is to snuggle up to you on your chest, and she will be in the happiest and safest place. Nothing else matters!!! I want to wish you the best, and we are cheering for youuu! Yay! Can't wait for you to meet your daughter 💕

Yay! You’re so close. 2 out of my 3 kids were induced, & everything turned out great. I just had my last boy via induction at 40 weeks on July 16th. Only my second son came naturally. I will say that induction contractions do hurt way more than natural. But just don’t be afraid to ask for the epidural early if you plan to have it. In all 3 of my birth experiences, they take an hour to get there from the time you ask so don’t wait till you can’t tolerate the pain anymore. Also, take stool softeners daily as soon as you deliver. Those are my biggest tips. You’ll thank me. I almost had to call 911 for the first BM after having my first baby, & I wish somebody had told me. I won’t go into details cause nobody needs to hear that, but trust me…take them! Lol!! Wishing you all the good vibes for a great birth experience. You are what every woman wishes she looked like when pregnant…all belly! Just beautiful. 💖

I was induced 5 days after my due date. It’s not bad at all. I think it makes it easier honestly so you can plan instead of being stressed if you go into spontaneous labor

You are so cute. I was induced with 2 pregnancies and it was fine. The nurses are so caring and helpful. You will do great and Grant will be awesome with you. Take care.
