Baby sheet tip...layer them in the crib (sheet,protector,sheet,protector) that way if you have a diaper leak (you will) you can just peel off a layer and have clean sheets. This will help especially at night, so you're not having to make up a new bed at 3am

There's something so wholesome about seeing a mama (and a dad) in full nesting mode, preparing for baby. I just think of all the excited moms doing that exact same thing for their children in the past. It's really cute.

You may have heard this tip already but once Miss Baby arrives have Grant or a family member take either a blanket or hat she wore in the hospital and bring it home for Luna to smell before baby comes home. Hopefully Luna bean will like the scent and it won't be a super hard transition for her either. 💙

Sleep as much as you can! Don’t feel bad, not even a bit. You won’t get a good night sleep for a while once she’s out. Enjoy this time and yourself and rest up. You’re growing a whole human and that’s huge! Super excited and can’t wait to see her! Congrats.

Yes! Build a reserve of sleep now. You’ll be sleep poor for a long time to come once babe is born. Especially if you plan to have more babies close together.

It seems like my friends who had very specific birth plans were always disappointed because those babies had their own birth plans. I think you’re smart to be flexible and just do what is safest at the time.

Yes! I was super flexible, had no birth plan (other than healthy baby and healthy me lol) and my birth went nothing like I’d imagined. I’m glad I didn’t set up a specific birth plan because I would have been very disappointed had I done that.

@@Sarahla91, I had the same non-plan and my first was completely not what I expected and my second was completely what I expected. I think you just need to have trust in your partner, your medical professional, and yourself and every thing will turn out okay.

Sometimes just looking at thank you cards or blank cards is like looking at artwork. I feel like there's so many cute ones that you could just frame them and put them up. It's like a little pleasure. When you were sitting on the floor in the nursery with everything around to it reminded me of some of your really old declutter videos. Like I feel like I was taken back like five or six years. I can't believe that there is going to be a beautiful little baby in there before we know it. So exciting.

I totally agree! I love browsing cards and it always takes me way too long because I get so into it. I am feeling the need to do so much decluttering getting ready for baby as if shes going to inspect the house when she gets home 😅

We got my daughter the same sloth set from Target. The smaller one with the rattle is the first toy she ever actively engaged with and the bigger one is now her comfort toy here at 10 months. She talks to it in the car all the time! I hope Miss Baby loves it just as much!

@@leighannsays we also got the little sloth blanket lovey for our son and it's comfort thing he's had since he was a newborn... He just turned 2 and we've bought two extra lol. We rotate them out, so they get equally worn, and loved on, and wash them and this way we're not so terrified of him loosing one.

For what it’s worth, my middle kid was 10lbs 8oz and 22 inches long, was born in my living room, and she was *by far* my easiest labor and delivery of the 3. Don’t let that big baby girl make you nervous, you’re gonna do great 😊

I just wanna say,nothing can really prepare you for childbirth. And the transition, good luck if you can pinpoint that. Hope it all goes well,trust in your body and the drs !! And rest during labour. I did something silly my first baby, did an active labour. Spent the first few hrs stomping in contractions and wore myself out. Last 2 babies I just lay on down, birthed on my side, best position ever. So little stress on the backbone

I'll never have children due to probably needing more care than them due to my disability, but love love love watching your vlogs. I can't wait to hopefully be an aunty some day and will be making proper little baby clothes, like the ones you've got. I love making little outfits for colleagues babies. I gave birth 2 my daughter at 40+ weeks she was 10lbs13.1/2 oz 23inch long I was in active labor 6 hr. No drug's ..... I was Blessed! I'm so very happy for you and Grant! You look beautiful Leighann! 💕💕💕

Definitely get everything washed. Cause mama your not going to have time, when miss baby arrives. Those first few weeks are so full. So excited that Miss Baby is almost here!!! Try to remember to be sweet to yourself and let yourself rest whenever you’re tired. And simple and not fussy is good. Really really good. That’s another way of taking care of yourself. You’re in Mama Mode and trying to keep things as simple as possible is a great skill to practice before the baby gets here. 😊 You got this!!

Don’t worry about baby’s size. I was only 16 when I had my first child, a beautiful little girl, Stacey. I only weighed 95 pounds when I got pregnant and ended up having a 9-pound baby with no issues at all.

I couldn’t wait for the update. I can’t wait for baby. My boys never wore newborn diapers or clothes. They were 9.4 and 9.2. So be sure not to invest in too many newborn sizes.

I used the IKEA Skubb white drawer organizers and they helped so much! My babies clothes look so neat and organized.... I am only 2 weeks ahead of you and we both turn one new week every Wednesday. Being flexible about my birth plan and not having a very rigid outlook made my birth experience SO MUCH BETTER. Literally nothing went like how it was “supposed” to. It was much easier to roll with the punches and stick to the things that were extremely important to me.

Back in my day (LOL) having a birth plan wasn't a thing. We didn't even have LaMaz classes. We went into labor, went to the hospital and had a baby ha. My first 2 babies, I had one ultrasound at like 8 weeks. So we didn't know what we were having. I also had them both naturally. With my 3rd, they did an ultrasound at like 5 months and I found out it was a boy. I loved knowing ahead! With him, I had something like a saddleblock rather than an epidural. That, was amazing! Not to be in that pain and actually 'enjoy' his birth. I helped pull him out of me and onto my chest even. What an amazing time for you!!

Watching you organize the nursery took me back 5 years ago to when I was doing the same thing for my own miss baby 💖 and lemme tell you, the size separators are definitely NOT extra! they helped me out so much with staying on top of clothing. Sounds like I had a very similiar birth plan to yours. The main goal being healthy mom and baby above all else. 1 very unexpected c-section (she flipped breech at 39 weeks) and 1 VBAC (to my heart warrior with Down Syndrome) later with thankfully no regrets or birth trauma. Control what you can and surrender the rest. *No shame to anyone who does experience birth trauma or disappointment. You are strong and your experience is 100% valid 💜💜💜*

My baby was measuring “big” and wore newborn diapers & clothes for the first month! She ended up being a petite little lady, you just never know what size they’re going to be. I can’t wait for you to have your little bundle of joy. 💗
