Back in the 1970s I was driving an ERF for the plant yard of Chas Brand & Son, delivering plant and site cabins etc to a new job near Chepstow. The site was on the Army Apprentice Collège at Beachley and a new tarmac drive had been laid from under the 1st Severn Bridge to the point midway between the Severn and Wye. Loaded a generator set powered by a Rolls Royce engine and some small items and headed down, pulled onto the new drive way saw scattering of stone chips but thought nothing of it. Until my head hit the cab roof, a hold down chain snapped and the genny bounced, once a came to a stop at the site, the lads were clapping and cheering but only gave me a 5 pointer. The milkman had got the 10 pointer, they said there was an omelet ready to be cooked on the road. Seams we both missed the chalk written sign that had been out in the rain all night. So much for sleeping police men.
at the end it looked like Daniel was being called out by a couple of travellers over a dispute that can only be settled by a bare knuckle fight in a barn or on some back road somewhere!
One thing I definitely like about Daniel, as much as he seems very frugal bwith his spending, he NEVER compromises safety and quality. If companies in Trinidad and Tobago adopted a percentage of this mindset, we'd be way better off as a country.
Would it be possible to add a camera inside of the LH60. That would be a cool shot and add a different dynamic to the train montages. Always cool to see what Flo is doing inside of the cab
Great content Daniel,I like the ‘Tarmac Scammell ‘that your mate Michael took into London & called you out to drive it.I worked for Royal Mail & we had all sorts of different Wagons,& I was taught to ‘Double de clutch’ on the old manual’s ,or they wouldn’t go in gear🤣…👊👍
@@bredeyyy7402 thats more the drivers than the lorry, if both lorries have diff lock and same tyres it doesnt matter which one it is both will go through the same ground
Having watched Sebastian Jedrzejczyk's videos DAFs seem to rot pretty quickly. Intrigued to know if Ashville have investigated MANs; they seem to be popular for heavy work
I never worked at a company that celebrated my birthday or any of my colleagues birthdays. I think this is great for morale and shows that Daniel is a great leader. It also shows that Ashville as a whole is a great business to work at. Keep this up Daniel!
