I don't know the reason why but, even though the video is nearly 25 minutes long, I felt we had got to the end in 5 minutes. Even though the video was jampacked this week (as usual) it just seemed to go so quick. One thing I can say running an engineering business, the hiccups and work aren't the worst issue, it's chasing the debtors, monitoring your operating income and as you'll know, creditors are on your case when money becomes due for payment but you have to keep them happy!

Daniel, it is normal that when you change a website to a new version there is a break in terms of SEO, even redirecting the old urls. This happens because the search engines' crawlers verify that even keeping the URL's the website is different with new source code. There is then a period of adaptation for them, but there is not much to do. The question is, is this "momentary" loss more understandable or the problems that an old website can have (used technology, updates, etc...)? It's a decision to be made.

DAF press fleet for their current generation are all that colour. Kinda makes me think of the old BMW Arizona yellow. Yeh company we’re probably hosting potential purchasers in that hotel and needed it to be the first thing they see. The other companies were probably don’t the same thing in other hotels.

The SEO ranking and history is attached to the domain itself, even if you were to create a completely new site, so long as you used the same domain nothing would happen. Unless the content on the page changes drastically for the negative, which it wouldn't.

Sounds like your devs for the previous times were probably not an SEO agency on top of being a web dev agency, have done several migrations and most of what to watch out for is with the URL slugs and permalink structure, internal links from one page to another, all the content of the original site as well as any schema as a 1:1 copy, canonical and other on-page such as headings. There are probably some good agencies that will be able to do this type of migration but they are probably hard to find since you wouldn't know how good they are until after the fact. Pretty important you don't change those even with an aesthetic upgrade, especially headings, links and content which is what people often change. Just thought I'd share :)

Would Michaels sister come in and talk about her reasons for selling up? It would be very interesting to get her thoughts as to why she made the big change. I just remember her last happy positive video wanting to promote ladies going into the business. I guess in this new climate the hassle factor became to big after years of running it. It would be nice to see her again and get a sensible version because you can’t get much sense out of that sweeper man hahaha.
