I'm out of Texas and we head to a rig in thousands of feet of water .Could I still slow pitch jig? There are many blackfin and yellowfin there.

Do you mark fish and drop down past them? Or chum and jig blind? I don't have access to deep enough water in Texas for tuna but I'd love to try slow pitch for grouper, snapper, ling, etc.
