So happy to see these. Watching LRR and Desert Bus helped me through my chemos and seeing our precious G posting these after he's gone through something similar makes me so happy! Yay life! Yay (socialist/communal) healthcare! Yay LRR and its community!
Holy smokes Graham, you have truly mastered the art of the B-roll. It is so satisfying, well done! On a different note, i hope i will one day get to experience one of these events. I can't even imagine an event of that scale, and one completely dedicated to magic is insane to me. It sounds like a super cool experience, and by all my stars that gift playmat? Jezus, I want it so baad for my Elesh Norn phyrexian tribal deck
Beginning of vlog: *making fun of hotels board games* “why would we do anything else than play magic?” After long day of nothing but magic: *in hotel lobby* “hey, who wants to do ANYTHING ELSE besides magic?”
True, though there have definitely been other vlogs and loading times where they apparently get back from a long day of magic, only to jam more magic as they're so hype for it 😂
I don't know if it's just because I haven't gone to - a place - since 2018, but I was momentarily taken aback to see Graham in the PAX Unplugged zone, which is where I was back then. I was like "I know those walls! Yes, the play space IS downstairs!"
If that’s Giant Jenga, then the set I have must be Supermassive Jenga. The bricks are two kilos each, and you can’t play it indoors lest you shatter the floor. Great for yard parties though
"First of all I'm an idiot"...yeah said that in hotels lobbies on more than one occasion. The worst was actually in a hostel where I was only in a towel...
@@lilyoftheveil666 okay then Is there a difference between MagicFest and MagicCon? I ask as someone who hasn't really played since my playgroup fell apart in COVID lockdown, and is unlikely to come back to the game until it's no longer all about Phyrexians.
@@WizardOfDocs I'm not entirely sure myself. The jacket may have come from a MagicFest rather than a MagicCon, I'm not entirely sure. In any event, the jacket was exclusive to whatever the event in Vegas last year was called.
Still kicking myself for spotting Ben and never saying anything. (Not going to wish I went to the Friday Unfinity draft instead of the Sunday one, not when I got two Carnival Barkers.) Still, wonderful to get the LRR perspective on MagicCon Philly.
Would love to have been there but BOY were tickets expensive. Based on what was it the bag it looks like they got the commander VIP package for... $350!!! Oof
