Hey, I remember this!. Hah, getting hit by the cinnamon roll and ya accidentally borrowing the cards I wanted autographed by Richard Kane Ferguson were some fun highlights of that weekend, not going to lie.
I now know what I look like when I'm judging! I've been waiting for this vlog since I was working the white area that weekend. It's now my goal to be background judge in as many Gvlogs as possible.
Thank you Graham! It's really awesome actually seeing myself in one of these vlogs (at 3:53) after watching them for so long. Meeting y'all, playing your event, and playing you in round two was the biggest highlight of my first MagicCon (and first con in general!). I can't wait to see you guys again in Chicago, and partake in more CHAOS!
@@artacuno7564 Thanks! Saw them a year ago in Chicago without having hearing them before because my work buddies had a spare ticket. We hung around after and met Brendan Murphy, and found out he was actually a Magic player, so I got to chat with him about that a little.
I love how Ben worked his way in. His face was so serious and he was poking around so diligently in the background that I didn't think he was jumping in to the bit until it happened. What a fool I was.
00:02 08:40 10:35 15:49 That thank you was beautiful Graham, you can really feel the love you have for the community you've built... ...ANYWAY, 20:18 20:28
I found me, I was the guy behind the person who brought the physical media at the signing. I’m glad you got to play aqua’s cube, I was able to play it at cube con 2022 very fun experience. It was awesome to see you guys in Minneapolis hopefully I’ll get the chance to see you again
This was very fun and relaxing to watch, thanks for putting this together and shoutouts to Jordynne for co-editing this! Probably made this happen faster to be enjoyed by my eyeballs
It must be very strange going on a journey with Graham, as he consistently goes across the *other* crosswalk (and pre-enters rooms for setup) just to get footage. Also, I've occasionally wondered/asked what Magic cards the various members of the crew are requested to sign most often, but ... is there any pattern of what people bring Beej to sign?
Love this series of videos, has been lovely to watch as someone who lives abroad and will likely never get to one of these 'cons, and I love how chill your videos are
10:08 So one workday after watching this, I Googled what a "walking taco" is, and . . . that is the most violently U.S.-style eat-on-the-go idea I think I have encountered.
OMG YEs you went to sushi train! I noticed that in your other video and glad you guys checked it out. Love that place! go everytime Im at a con in the Hyatt.
Love all of these videos, very happy this magic con was a big f'ing success. Also need to get my hands on that playmat at 5:31 I'm guessing it was a con-exclusive?
As you said loading the pallet was like “very expensive Tetris”, I was doing the Tetris music to myself. Granted, I always do that when I’m stacking something like that or loading a car.
Just went to Sushi Train yesterday for dinner. It is solid sushi, much better than you might expect in Minnesota, but then the best sushi I’ve had was in Reno so ya know some things are unexpected.
Have you ever tried drafting with the Floor Magic format? You can only use cards you find on the convention room floor. It's similar to Hobo Magic, but with less digging through bins.
Trout? Why would they serve Trout sushi in Minneapolis? It would be something like Walleye, Northern, or Bullhead! Bit yeah, I have noticed that the Sushi up there in "Da Cities" is surprisingly good. I would even argue it's on par with what you would find in Seattle. It's just not nearly as ubiquitous.
So for the pallet, did you pack the heavier stuff on the bottom and the lighter stuff on top? If so, you have packed a pallet properly, and better than most people.
I got Nuked at the Walking Taco... But that was a food truck at the IPE that had "Nuclear Sauce" which I had to sign a waver for and I took as a shot rather than ordering food as I had already eaten... BAD IDEA. I like spice but WHOA BAD IDEA... I ran to the nearest coffee place and said "Can... You... Sell... Me... Milk..." They said no so i ordered a coffee as it was self serve coffee and I put just a tiny splash of coffee and the rest cream and promptly chugged a cup of cream... It was NASTY.
This is an absolutely hilarious coincidence, but the guy Kathleen accidentally hit with a cinnamon roll goes to the same LGS as me. 8:57 We both live in Kansas. So it's a very odd coincidence to see a fellow Kansan in a video blog from a Canadian comedian. Of course, we both play Magic so that makes sense.
1:10 - I was So Sure that this story was going to end with the cinnamon roll hitting Voxy in the head. After Jimmy hit her with a booster pack during the Game Knights game, i just figured that projectiles homed in on her.
Note this gvlog is 21 mins long. RU-vid has a habit of putting in adverts at the end, so you'd be forgiven for seeing something flashup 'end' 8mins in, have adverts, and assume this was it. Nope, end of Saturday only. So much more gvlog to go!
Sun makes land warm. Hot air rises. Cool air (often above the sea) moves to fill the space as the hot air leaves it. Everything in its path experiences wind. Also Wikipedia says something about earth's rotation making things spin, which is why spinny air like a cyclone happens?? Cool
