This year I'm testing out some different ways to get dinner on the table faster and easier during the week when we're all so slammed. So, I decided to make 7 EASY freezer meals to get us off on the right foot!

I just learned that if you chill (refrigerate) your onions, they don't make your eyes water! It's a game changer in my house!!

This is a great way to fill up your freezer initially with meals! One thing I love to do (to easily keep the freezer stocked) is to just double a recipe I’m making and freeze half of it! 😀💜 PS, your editing lately has been GOLD! Haha

This is what I do too bc I don’t like to designate a huge chunk of time to freezer meals. Keeps my freezer stock rotating too.

Just a heads up, pretty sure the recipe links are missing on the description! I feel your pain with being unsure that the kids will eat it... My 4-year-old has decided onions are horrible, so I just left a crockpot meal where I food processed the onions instead of chopping them. Here's to hoping he eats it!

You made it look toooo easy!😉 If you make a dinner that's freezer friendly double it the night you cook it and put one away in the freezer for another week. It's a slower build, but you do the same amount of work and eat twice...it's another nice way to build up freezer meals for those nights u just need one! Love you 😍

Yep! My friend is doing a freezer meal party rather than a baby shower because this is her third and I’m having my third also, and I thought that’s a genius idea to get some freezer meals prepped for it.

I love freezer meals! I try to always quadruple any freezer-friendly recipe I make during the week so I can slowly build a freezer meal stash as I go (eat one or two, freeze the rest). I need to try some of these recipes to shake it up a bit in my house!

One of my favorite way to do "freezer meals" is to use a vacuum sealer machine. It's such a game changer with leftovers. Whatever is leftover I'll use the vacuum sealer on and throw it in the freezer for the day when we don't have leftovers for lunch or I'm not really in the mood for cooking in the evening. I want to try out some of the dinner ideas your way. They seem so easy!!

Also consider to do pre-cooking and freeze it. So I enjoy your Video. Even if I have some problems sometimes to substitute American products here in Germany.

That's a lot of food! I just now realised that when I really feel like cooking, I can just prepare a bunch of meals I already know and freeze them rather than trying out something new every time that is hit or miss. I probably need to grocery shop first though.

You might think about putting plastic rap between tomato products and foil. It turns the foil dark and eventually gets on the tomatoes. Of course take the plastic wrap off before cooking.😊

I've never made uncooked freezer meals but that's a great idea to have the prep work done, I'll have to try that. I fill my freezer by making extra of nearly every evening meal then freezing it. I usually make enough for 6-8 meals and freeze the extra portions in takeaway tubs but I'm sure you could scale that up for your needs. I've usually got 30-40 portions of maybe 10 different meals so we can just pick and choose. Doesn't take much extra cooking time to double or quadruple the recipe, just takes a few weeks to build up the stash 😊

Made the Mexican casserole and it was soooo good! Hubby said to make sure to add it to the “list”. Question though... I bought the ingredients for the ravioli lasagna. Does anyone know if we use frozen ravioli’s when preparing? Or are they thawed? Can’t wait to make it.

Check the freezer section at your grocery store for bags of chopped frozen onions; they are a life (and tear!) saver!!!!

For chopping onions, put a metal teaspoon in your mouth pressed comfortably against your tongue face down and you won't cry! Don't remove it until you're done with your onions! :)

Try cutting the onions in half and keeping them in water for 15 to 20 minutes before you chop them... That way you don't have to shed those tears every time you cut onions. I enjoy your recipe videos .. Love from India 🇮🇳

Thank you sharing some great ideas! I love freezer cooking. A couple things that have worked for me: 1) Doubling or tripling a recipe that I’m already making that I know my kids will love. 2) Making a huge portion of something all at once. Like three lasagnas or a huge pot full of chicken pot pie filling. I find doing that creates maximum amount of meals for minimum effort. I love these videos. Keep it up! And yes, jamerill Stewart is amazing at this as others have suggested!

Keep us posted on how it goes! I'd love to hear your thoughts about what makes it worth it (or not)! I suspect you'll be so glad you did it. To me, it seems hard to commit to an entire day each week reserved for cooking but maybe if I did it, I'd love the peace of mind during the week.

I am excited to try some of these recipes. I will for sure make freezer meals and freezer sandwiches when baby number 2 is on the way hopefully this year. My goal is to make 4 meals once my freezer is cleared out. Genuis to freeze the extra ingredients in a big container. I recommend writing the directions on a seperate piece of paper because sometimes my writing has worn off zip lock bags. I frooze turkey and mashed potatoes from Thanksgiving and it was great on Christmas.

Hi, for all of you that want to try freezer meals. This is my little advice. Often it is better to put the meal in your fridge one or two days before eating it so it can unfreeze. this will decrease a lot the cooking time ! :)

I liked that these look doable and not a ton of work. I have been try to take the approach of "double and freeze half" so like I make something for the crockpot like you did I put one in the crock pot for dinner and another in a gallon baggie for another night. Or like every time I make soup I double and freeze half. I find that easier then doing all these separate meals. I did like your kit idea with the crack chicken. I might try to do that a bit more. Plus the pans are so nice for a busy night. Like a gift for your future self.

Hi a tip for breaking up the mince (ground meat) is to let it partly brown and then use a potato masher to break up the lumps much easier.

Thank you for sharing! I’ve always wanted to try freezer meal cooking, but my lack of freezer space has kept me from trying it...as does my lack of motivation!🤪 We don’t have a deep freezer or separate refrigerator/freezer, so I just need to do some reorganizing to try to make it work.

This is cool! I think baked pastas and lasagnas are always a crowd pleaser and feed a big crowd happily. This will be really handy to pull out on a busy day where cooking just isn't a priority! This made me think of Jamerril Stewart and her freezer meals. One suggestion about the pot roast is that is raw potatoes don't tend to freeze very well because of the high water content, par boiling helps! And it makes it a lot easier if you brown your meat first and whatever sauce/gravy you cook it in can be added to the casserole dish or plastic bag, that way it will be marinated too!

I just did a huge 33meal freezer stock up that can all be made in the instant pot but 2... ziti's!! I spent just under $300 for all the ingredients and I am feeding 6!! The best advice is if its things you really enjoy make 3 of them... one this month and one for the next 2 months
