There are two things that give me pause to consider "is this my internet soul mate" 1: I too spend many a night running these episodes on repeat, it's shameful that I can recite some bits and even tweak my accent to match as best I can. Sad. 2: Anyone who rocks a classic Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler icon is a top tier internet-goer in my book.

Surprising how David and Miranda are doing so badly on purpose, it's really different from every other appearance from David where he threw tantrums all over the place and tried as hard as possible to win.
Yeah I think the issue with the character is that David Walliams seems to play it whenever he’s on a British panel show, and he’s almost TOO good at it which just gets annoying… I recall a BFQ with Alan Carr and Romesh and they were having a blast right out of the gate, so Noel Fielding adopted a disappointed teacher character to play off their enthusiasm, and it worked so well! He picked his moments and ended up abandoning the bit after the first quarter of the show so as not to detract from the enjoyment of the show. David has his moments but overall it can be quite a jarring transition from the rest of the panel. I appreciate the ability for other comedians to really bounce off his snarky approach though, Rob Brydon springs to mind when they were on a team together, he really fit that role well! Say what you want, I’d still take Walliams a million times over than having Mel B on again… that 2014 show was incredible but she really tanked it for them!
I love this show. Watching all these Big Fat Quiz annuals has pushed me over the threshold to subscribe to a VPN service because I don't want to wait 9 years to see them!!! Save news programs, I think I probably watch more Brit series than American (I'm in California).
Point of order: All milk is breast milk. What they meant was it's human breast milk. Which is meant for humans. What's really weird is drinking breast milk from other species.
It has to do with farming as well. Animals can turn grass and other fodder humans can't eat into milk which can be fed to children or turned into cheeses for storing. Which is why non-European countries have a higher rate of lactose intolerance because the European diet was dependent on milk and milk products. A lot of Asian cultures don't have the evolution to digest lactose as adults because they ate different foods.
A handful of animals make milk without breasts, it's not common but I thought it was weird enough that it might be interesting and worth mentioning- some pigeons, cockroaches, and sharks make 'milk' for their babies. There's also monotremes which do make proper milk but just sweat it out of their skin for theirs, as if they weren't already freaks sitting in the corner with the marsupials while the proper mammals enjoy the party
It seems like people are projecting their dislike of David W. Onto Miranda who seems like she's trying to yes and her partner. Haven't seen her in other things so could be off. But when she does her one jokes she seems funny enough to be passable. I never really dislike for David thing in the comments. At best he's playing a stickler who's earnestly trying to win which can be funny. He also never seems to be the meanest person on the panel, at least in terms of attacking other people. I did read about his previous controversies up until this year and they don't reflect a great on him. So maybe it's people more aware of larger contexts and not liking him, which would then make sense to me.
In this show there’s a pattern to the performance, I’ve noticed the comics tend to become the dry team, the snarky ‘above it’ team and the zany ‘were not here to win’ team depending on the energy in the room - the zany choices I’ve noticed are not for everyone bc they’re pretty camp but I’m not bothered because (besides Mel) no one takes it personal

I've never heard of Einstein claiming that light was the fastest thing in the universe. Especially since it violates the theory of relativity to think that. Since all motion is relative, surpassing the speed of light is easy.
