Aww, I feel really sorry for David Mitchell. "It involves the publishing event of the year, nay, of the century..." "Oh, Bible 2!" You can tell he's so proud of that, and it just gets a polite chuckle. You're too good for them David!
that wasnt a polite chuckle...thats pretty much how the audience had been laughing throughout the whole thing. (also i know im late but that doesnt change my point)
Everyone's celebrating the noel and russel comeback, and while that's amazing, I'm just as happy with david mithell being in the 2014 version "Or indeed if she fucked a nazi officer in the war" legendary
I like Noel teamed up with Richard Ayoade best. Russell is amusing, but he tends to take over, with Noel getting a few lines in here and there but he basically follows Russell's lead. But with Richard and Noel, it's double act comedy gold! They play off each other so well and neither one has to dominate the act.
Englitstudent15 I thought it was the other way around :L The one I watched where he was partnered with Richard was a bit dull as Richard seemed to cover the answers whilst Noel sat there looking bored :L
I have come to enjoy many of the comics, but I find Rob's flinch when David points funny because of the previous year when his face kept getting covered. Plus I think Russel and Noel are adorable together.
He's so not dorky, he's a surrealist comedy genius and artist. I personally love him and would definitely marry him and my husband would totally understand 😁
I love David Mitchell. He’s so damn funny and adorable. And his “posting another turd in their post box. Every bank holiday” comment kills me every time I watch this.
The line “you condemn Hitler and then use his techniques” has remained with me ever since this first went out. Applicable to all of us at some time I feel.
Agree! Best BFQ ever imo. Also, we should have a rammy like that in our parliament. Tories v Labour with the minor parties watching with popcorn and water pistols :)
+A Whether Moments Poet if you like rob watch would i lie to you, good panel show and he is the host (after series 2 at least) it is some of his best work where he seems the most relaxed
Russell Brand is definitely not in my top 10 favourite comedians, but Noel Fielding is and I must say that they truly are splendid together. Rob Brydon and David Mitchell is also a terrific match.
That's true, but I imagine that they would. I reckon that their comedy styles would work abslutely perfectly together, just adding that extra surreal element to what Russel and Noel already have going on.
+James Mccarthy The reason Noel works so well with both is that he has qualities of both of them, I think Russel and Richard would work because they're such opposite personalities, that could compliment them
Lily Allen's "devaluing music" comment was utterly stupid. It's the exact opposite of that. What Radiohead did shows you that if you've established yourself as a musician that creates valuable music, you won't have to assign your own monetary worth to it. You could give it away for free and people would still think it's worth paying for- they'd pay for the value they think it has.
+B!ack. Yes Lily's comment is stupid, but whether or not the concept works on a broader scale is questionable. A lot of people paid a lot for the album because they like the concept, but that will not be the case if it would be the normal way of paying.
Völundr Frey Also, being Radiohead, people had some pretty good idea of what they would be getting. For artists who are trying to establish themselves, it could go completely differently. Finally, often the reason why a band might make more money is no one is taking a cut of it. There might be less money made overall, but if more goes to the band, the band makes more money overall. Finally, when Radiohead makes this sort of announcement, it makes the papers = free publicity. Indie bands wouldn't get the exposure boost.
+DavidVT23 Im not sure I agree with you, theres an indie music app called 'Bandcamp' which works really well, it runs on a similar system, except the artist can set a minimum price. It does result in a few people paying less than an albums worth but with a good community its a non-issue.
+B!ack. you might know then, what was up with Thom Yorke or has he just got a condition? I'd only ever seen pictures of him that my friend used to show me as a teenager as she was a bit obsessed.
I'm always slightly amazed over how well all the contestants seem to get on. In my head David Mitchell would have no time for the silliness of Noel and Russell. It makes me very happy.
"There is no direct corollary between capes and rape, they just rhyme...What if-horror of horrors-he ain't even done a rape? You could ruin his reputation." This is still the best line from any of the Big Fat Quizzes.
i like the fact that its 2007 video of this show and it was uploaded 2012 when they could have uploaded 2012 and they only have 1 video which is in fact 7 years ago
10:24 And then a little over a year later, Rob Brydon gets the job replacing Angus Deayton on _Would I Lie To You?,_ thus ensuring he got to continue doing his David Mitchell impression.
