BIG FISH EVERYWHERE!!! TARPON MADNESS IN TOBAGO! Beach Fishing For The Silver King In The Caribbean

I have said it many times...And I will keep saying it...Tobago is the best island for land based fishing in the Caribbean!!! Big fish swim close to shore and when there is bait around, it is fishing chaos!
On this trip, the bait (fryers) were in huge numbers close to the beach...And feeding on these tiny bait fish were hundreds of big tarpon! Every different beach we went to, there were tarpon.
The smaller fish were quite greedy and we were able to catch quite a few of them. But the bigger fish were proving to be very very hard to get to bite. Eventually after a couple thousand casts, I was able to hook into a good one and get it on to the beach!

Nice film! I've been fishing the same spot a few times but never seen so many tarpoons. Very cool. I've been fishing with fly but it's tricky in the waves, gonna bring the spinning gear and jigs next time. Tight lines!

Thank you! Yes this was the most I have ever seen too! The beach was loaded with bait! So the fish were there feasting! Bring the spinning gear and the fly gear! You can get them on both!!! Just have to be persistent! Fish On!

Great video again Kos! So much more to catch in Tobago beside Snook ,Tarpon and Cavali if you know the spots 😉. On a side note wish there would be more collaboration between RU-vidrs in our island to help improve each others content and push the reach and presence of the community as a whole, regionally and internationally... I catch fish simply for the joy of catching them! I love TO FISH! Lol...Many people do not eat that particular type of fish...It is extremely bony and has low quality fishy meat.

Unfortunately it happens...He swallowed the lure (was not fishing for tarpon) and with those trebles...Was the best I can do...Sure he was well enjoyed by the sharks...IF he didn't make it...Cycle of life!

@@KoSMTTyou literally said you were after tarpon earlier in the video. If you want to cnr then you can’t be using barbed trebles - try barbless. You are abusing the sport. Also, on those rocks, there is no way to safely land a fish above 2kg without rock stabs.
