60s-70s was my time man. Born in '55. Love the big flake look on the right stuff. That guitar looks spectacular. Would love to see how you did it if there's enough interest. Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.

I appreciate it. I don't think it came out too bad for the first time painting big flake and building a guitar. So far you're the only one who's interested in seeing the paint job. The video is performing terrible 🤷🏽‍♂️

hello! i was about to give up searching for this size glitter paint job. i also came up with an idea of dry flake, but i don’t have a compressor, so i decided to build diy gun out of hair dryer 😅(there is a function for cool air blowing) but i have no idea how to make that big ass glitter sticks to the guitar, coz my lacker dries out super quickly, in about a minute it’s not sticky enough to hold such big chunks. also i would like to do a mirror glos finish, but with this size of a glitter it would be crazy thick. 😩 please help

Sounds like an interesting technique. It might be better to use a can of air dubster or something to shoot the glitter, but it'll be hard to control. The clear coat that I used stays sticky for awhile. It's an automotive 2 part clear. Of you're using a spray can then you'll have to lay it on pretty thick without making it run, then shoot the glitter on it. Then wait for it to get close to dry but still sticky and repeat until you have the coverage that you want.

I was in a band w Dan in Sarasota! This guitar looks amazing! Love the paint finish and can appreciate the talent to do it well! Killer guitar !
