Q:What camera do you use?
A: I use the Go Pro Hero 7 Black Edition primarily. Often times you will see auxillary cameras in use. Those cameras include The Go Pro Hero 6, Hero, and DJI Mavic Pro Platinum
Q: How big Is your rotator?
A: It is a 50 ton Miller Industries Vulcan 950
Q: Does the carriage slide back like Ron Pratt's?
A: No, the carriage doesn't slide back due to strict weight laws in California. The sliding carriage will make the truck to heavy in CA
Q: Why do you only have 3 winches on the rotator?
A: Comes down to weight again as stated above
Q: How many trucks Does Plaza Towing have?
A: Currently more than 30
Q: Why must the driveshaft be removed to tow a vehicle?
A: When vehicles are not running the transmission is not receiving circulating lubricant. If the driveshaft is left installed, the transmission, which is not receiving lubricant, is still spinning. This allows it to get very hot which eventually will cause major damage to the transmission. Therefore, removing the driveshaft completely eliminates the transmission from spinning. Simply leaving it in neutral is not sufficient since the transmission still spins in neutral.

For those who are wondering, there’s 3 types of automatics. 1. Is a true auto (eg, this blue Peterbilt) 2. A 3 pedal auto (has a clutch pedal for drive, reverse, neutral, manual select (not to actually select but to get into manual) and for PTO (hydraulics)) and a automated manual transmission (ATM), like in the dark blue peterbilt.

No one makes the 3 pedal auto anymore. Years ago Eaton did. Clutch was just to start and stop.

Good to see Trent back. Quite a few of the YTers I follow have switched to DJI because of how unreliable GoPro have become. The ones sticking it out now have GoPro battery handles (Aftermarket) as the main battery is rubbish to put it politely.

Glad you are back. When waterproofing the deck like that it helps not to walk on the wood with any dirt on your boots. I get better results on my trailers if i keep the new wood clean before spraying them.

Our company just bought a 455b. You got a video on how to use that thing the correct way. We mess with it but it got that fifth wheel plate that splits every once and awhile. Then we put the weight back on the 5th wheel and it settles back into place. Sharing your experience using this trailer would be greatly appreciated.

I like all your videos you do a good job you show things you explain things you've got one hell of a fleet of Wreckers back years ago I hate drove one of the first 1040 tri-axle under this the century came out with her hopefully there's nothing but Century under this when they went from the 450 Super Duties and we went over the 1600 series Internationals and Ranos centuries for years and all I c'n I just wish we would have stayed into it when they had the rotators came out but you do a good job I love watching your videos

Those autos are nice. Had a 10 speed Allison in a kenworth lowboy. Now driving a new peterbilt with a automated 18spd Eaton. It performs better then Allison. Both work really well for being autos though. Sharp truck👊

We had a 8 or 10k rough terrain forklift like the one you transported and it on the loadall trailer or whatever its called where the axles move forward and the entire deck drops, my co worker was at 14'1" and then manage to get it down to 13'7"

You should check Ron Pratt's videos test driving a new automatic Eaton transmission. It's some sort of next generation automatic, built around their classic 18 speed. He was extremely enthusiastic about it. It's probably worth looking at as well. He was evaluating it on a big wrecker.

I'm sure forklifts this big would be intended for sawmills for moving large and bulky stacks of lumber to and from storage racks to be loaded onto flatbed trucks to take the lumber from the sawmill to hardware stores like Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, and the like.

Ah, a fully automatic transmission, nice, I thought it would have one of those automated manual trannies where you still shift gears manually like a stick shift, but the clutch is automated, simplifying gear shifting because using the clutch is handled entirely by electronics rather than a pedal on the floor.
