42:55 Man, imagine what its like to walk out to THAT. Seeing 50,000 people screaming their heads off for YOU. Seeing the massive stadium packed full of screaming and adoring fans, playing the first 5 notes of a song and the crowd going nuts, being able to look out and see what the result of your hard work is, feeling the energy of the crowd and playing the songs you created and love. Id do anything to be able to have enough talent to be able to experience that just once.
+No Te Importa Mustaine does lots of solos mate...thats why Megadeth sound like...every player who played in Megadeth did great job, so everyone is important...
Its awesome to see how much happiness they bring to the fans buy signing autographs and taking pictures. That dude that started crying with Tom Araya, priceless. I think its good for them to see just how much their music means to people, myself included,
41:56 se me pone la piel de gallina ! los momentos previos a q salga la banda es de lo más emocionante en un concierto... full adrenalina ! Y ahora sé por qué... la banda está mandando full energía para ellos y para nosotros ! 41:56 I love the minute before the band goes out to play .... full adrenalin! And now I know why... they are throwing out a lot of energy for them and for us !
¡¡ Excelente documental !!
Don't forget Rob. Dudes a virtuoso on the bass. And I would love to see James on vocals and rhythm guitar, Broderick on lead guitar, Rob on bass, and Lombardo on drums up there playing. Talk about a super group.
Bonito el documental , algo que resalto es la importancia que tienen sus familias en sus vidas y que los apoyan al 100% . Las cuatro bandas geniales y muy buenas , debe ser dificil para estas estrellas rockeras apartar su vida privada y su vida publica.
I had the great opportunity to meet Kerry King and Scott Ian at a guitar convention in Arizona a few years ago... they are some of the nicest, most chill guys I've ever met. They seem so intimidating but listening to Kerry's stories about playing with Jeff and Dave were awesome!! Unfortunately I never got to see Slayer before Jeff died.... awesome guitarist and a genius composer in thrash metal!! Keep rocking everybody!!
Know which of the four bands has the most talented musician? I would have to say that Chris Broderick. Then Dave Lombardo. They all are Metal Gods in their own right, but just as pure musicians, those two are off the charts. Especially Lombardo. His mastery over the drum kit is almost as great as Chris's is of the fretboard. Love it all!
And to all of you who who fanboy over one or 2 of the BIG4 and shit on the rest...SHAME ON YOU!!! They may be four different bands, but they are all ONE BIG FAMILY!!! \m/ ANTHRAX \m/ SLAYER \m/ METALLICA \m/ MEGADETH \m/
This is most likely my favorite era of these bands. Damn. Seeing Hetfield chilling w/ Slayer was pretty cool. I heard Ulrich had to persuade him to break the ice...
Ultimate thrash supergroup from this lineup would be Dave Lombardo on drums obviously, Jeff hanneman guitar, Ian from Anthrax guitar, Trujillo on bass, and I guess James on vocals although I'm torn between James and Mustaine on vocals
"algun dia tus nietos te preguntaran quienes fueron los mas grandes del metal.... " y vos le contaras que fueron unos de los mejores años de la música contemporánea....
So, as I understand it, the classifications for The Big Four are basically Slayer: The straight up brutal ones Anthrax: The fun-loving ones Megadeth: The ones concerned with social issues Metallica: The emotional ones. That's what it seems to be to me, if you disagree, please don't hate on me, but please educate me on how I'm wrong.
That was so fuckin kewl. Metallica rules. But I love all of the big 4. I play guitar because of these men. There impact on my life is beyond measure. I will always go see them live. Metal is just the shit. These bands are the best of all time. May GOD bless them all. Metal forever!!!!
It should've been the big 7!! Metallica, megadeth, slayer, anthrax, exodus, testament and overkill.. period. Those bands have been in the game for long ass time as well and they deserve to be there also.. especially exodus man! They have a lot of history w metallica and all the other bands too.. and they've been doin it for a long time too man.. anyway, those bands deserve it too.. there's a bunch of other bands that should be in the big whatever as well.. death angel, forbidden, laaz rockit, fates warning, king diamond, nasty savage, kreator, destruction.. there's tons.. anyway, that's my opinion.. cheers..
the BIG 4 was with Exodus! !! Anthrax???,, they were awful. No sorry just a fact. Paul was a mad man " TONIGHT THERE BE NO LOVE" Course we are speaking origanals not tours!!.
Tom Araya of Slayer pointed out something about the big four bands of thrash metal that still blows my mind. These four bands and their names represent the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. Slayer was the horseman of war, Anthrax was the horseman of pestilence, Metallica was the horseman of famine, and Megadeth was the horseman of death. And it's not like these bands got together and planned this out, it just kind of happened. \m/ \m/
