Lars's son has vision problems from being exposed to the glare of refracted sunlight bouncing off his father's giant forehead being ever more exposed due to the rapid hair loss.
chop Imagine being Lars Ulrich and your son tells you his favourite band is Nickleback! That would be a thousand times worse than a great band like Megadeth! At least with Megadeth he knows his kid has got good taste! Plus, no kid is going to admit to liking his dad’s band, no matter who it is!
I would probably don't notice. I dont even know what megadeth is. Only metallica, but I have my adolescent times behind me, so it would not thrill me any way.
I love how all these band members are getting along with each other and having a good time but the "fans" in the comments are the ones who keep acting like hateful children.
Expectation: an unseen backstage look into the antics of a bunch of legendary metal musicians with tons of history with each other Reality: a bunch of dads talking about their kids and the bassist of Anthrax sewing pants
Dude, that last part with Dave and Lars was some real shit. I hope these guys have really found peace with each other after all these years. There can't be too many people who have lived the lives they have.
They’ve always been buddies. They just used to make fun of Dave for his drug issues. Dave was a bit over sensitive at times. I’m sure Metallica are douche bags sometimes too.
The thing is that the two admire eachother, Lars love Dave for being this creative force and Dave loves Lars for being one of the greatest businessman in metal. On the other hand James and Dave never have the best of relationships.
I absolutely love the fact that they've made it through so many years and they're still touring, playing, making a living, and having a blast - makes me smile hearing them all talking about their kids and stuff, too.
Not without some losses along the way (Cliff, Dimebag, Nick, Marty, Jason) im aware Nick didn’t pass yet and Marty and Jason most likely declined to come back.
Anthrax: Happy to be there, complaining about the catering and generally living life on the road. Megadeth: Off doing their own thing. Taking everything in. Slayer: Talking about Satan and other good stuff. Very on-brand. Metallica: Lars wanting to start rehearsals with an easy song and then fucking up the easy song anyway. Hetfield as loopy as ever.
I dont listen to Anthrax and I have nothing against them, but everytime I hear Scott Ian tell a story its always a joy because he seems like one of those people who just enjoy talking to others.
You are probably right. I remember seeing a picture from the 90's of Scott and Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode sitting together at a computer checking out a website.
They are, actually i'm a minority here but they are My favorites of the Big 4. I think they are the only ones that remember that music can be fun, the other 3 of course do amazing music but with the time they became stale and Even boring. But an Anthrax release is ALWAYS balls to the wall kicking pure fucking headbanging metal.
@@kaoko111 Agreed. Anthrax are my favorite as well. They've also aged the best out of the 4 bands. Live they still slay it and Joey sounds practically the same as he did back in the 80s/early 90s.
It’s amazing nobody sustained a heat stroke with all that hot air blowin around in those tents lol. Also, I love how when Lars tells Dave that his son’s favorite band is megadeth, Dave immediately yet subtly starts flexing haha.
Been playing 35+ years and he still has timing issues. Probably doesn't practice at all..... Just sits behind a kit and plain sucks. Hell, he forgot a simple intro to his own song.
@@MaxWhiteArabiLouisiana And they didn't? You make it sound like Benante just stood and watched. Everyone in the Big 4 pioneered drumming, that's why they're _the Big 4._ The 4 biggest examples of Thrash.
When I blasted into the metal world starting at 14 and found Metallica, Megadeth, Priest, Slayer, Overkill, Testament....I never would've thought they'd be THIS big. It was soooo underground. Even 3 albums in, some of these guys were clubbing, haha. I saw Slayer for South in a little shithole in NY, for example. Now here they are. I'm 39...these guys are 45-50. So crazy man. So happy that this style of musical art influenced countless players and now they're legend.
I think its great they put this on the big 4 dvd when it came out. It's awesome that the bands all get along on and off stage. Alot of bands from that time split up after 5 or 6 years of touring. But these guys had backbone and stuck by each other no matter what. Metal rules. Enough said. RIP Jeff Hanneman
Reading Mustaine's Autobiography had some very pleasantly unexpected surprises. He had a degree of humility that went way beyond what I expected ( I expected the opposite at least to a degree) and he owned up a ton to his own shortcomings and was very reflective and it didn't seem like he took potshots. I bring this up as he seems very much at ease around Lars at the end of this part 1 clip and it didn't seem at all weird or uncomfortable. I knew Gar Samuelson (Megadeth drummer on KIMB and Peace Sells) pretty well for a few years (early '90s), so the only disappointment was that he glanced over Gar, just briefly covering the period he was in the band, and said nothing about his passing or anything else after Gar and Chris were dismissed in 1987. He didn't even mention Poland playing on The System has Failed.
I wonder why he left Gar and Chris out,.. I know they supposedly brought MR Brownstone into their lives.. but they also being amazing artists brought jazz in..
It's not about which band is the best. It's about which You like the most. One will always find an explanation to why their favorite band is THE BEST ON THE ENTIRE PLANET. Always. I have that with Slayer.
