I was just 10 when Big Fun became famous in Chile, it was the Summer of 1991. I adored them but I was never able to buy the cassette. 10 years later I found it in an old record shop and took it home like a treasure, I was listening to this song (which never got promoted in Chile) and my mom came to my bedroom singing and told me she loved it. She's been with Alzheimer's for over 17 years now and does little more than smiling and being awake. Just a few days ago I started listening to these guys again and remembered the episode said above. I took the CD home and played the song to my mom, and she smiled. It was a fantastic moment for me.
I admire the “Go big or Ho home,” ambition of covering a “Stylistics,” song but only The Sylistics can pull this one off. I appreciate they were probably going for the nostalgia market with this one, but still.
I loved them.Give me a tine machine and i will comeback rigth now to my sweet 80th,s and 90 th,s..Funny happy years.I leaving now those sad panedimc and violent 20ths years
Pretty sure this was Pete Waterman's doing. Matt & Mike were fantastic song writers and Big Fun had a decent run of singles before this. Waterman had an ill judged penchant for giving acts a sloppy ballad cover version to sing. Kylie's Tears On My Pillow was a hit because it was Kylie, with Sonia she got End Of The World, but this was the worst offender as it was a total mismatch to the group. As a fourth single and change of pace their cover of The Heaven I Need would've been so much better. Or even Bring Your Love Back or We're In This Love Forever from their album would've been better choices. Shame we never got a second SAW album from them.
he he..........yeah.......this version is atrocius..............only the extended version is worth it and only in the beginning and at the end of that version when we hear only instrumental music without those beep vocals.
I am a big Stock Aitken Waterman fan, but if I have to choose what their most worse production is? Well this one. The vocals are soooooooooooooooooooooo terrible.
