Definitely a "bucket list" experience. Rated as one of the top two night dive experiences in the world. On October 14th, 2021 we (Chris Jochumson, Kathryn Crowder, Craig and Cindy Riddle) headed out from the harbor just north of Kailua-Kona for a 20 minute cruise to our destination which was just off the coast near the Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) Power Plant. Bright lights are placed on the ocean floor attracting plankton which the Manta's gorge themselves on. We were greeted by an extraordinary number of Manta's (15+) that night which put on an incredible show for us lasting over 45 minutes!
