Stock tanks/ponds can go bad during dry seasons. When it rains it stirs the water feeding it oxygen. Growing up my father put a paddle windmill in our biggest pond to keep the water stired and it helped keep parts open in the winter. Resulted in less ice chopping.

Hi Dusty and Marissa!! I love when you move the Bison, they may get a little distracted, but mostly they follow well and seeing them run is so enjoyable! And they all did know that fence was there, they respected it and run beside it .. well done leading them close to it ! I pray Big Joe and Eleanor had a good night .. bless her heart she was like where did my friends go! She was so happy to see them again ! I think Major would be a good name , since he will hopefully make a major change in the herd and add a new blood line to come !! ❤️

My buddy has his cows bison mix herd trained to come by ringing a cow bell when he feeds. My brother just drives his deisel truck and honks his horn when he puts out hay to train his cows

I really like "Major" for new bull. Its a powerful name.

You should get a few colorful shiny pom poms take them apart and tie to the fence. Colorful and reflective plus they make sound in the wind. By the time the reflective wears off they'll know where the fence is.

My family always ties strips of cloth on sections of fence when we put a new one up. Helps the animals see it, but the current can still get thru it.

At 4:28 looks like a herd of cows that got into some wet alfalfa. 😅 Nice to see a herd of content Bison.🙂

If you want to improve your ground hook a wire to your ground and run it in between your hot wires that way if they touch both a hot and the ground wire they will create a direct short. Extremely dry ground can actually act as an insulator. Wire your ground wire directly to your T-posts don't use insulators that way they will all act as ground rods

Hey Dusty got a question with Eleanor not moving with the heard much would it be better to catch her and move her over with Dunbar where they aren't having to move match which she could be with the heard more often because my guess is they don't move much over on the other property

Bullet is the last dog you would expect on a bison ranch.

I have been following this for a bit now. We spent some time at the Nat'l Bison Range in MT 2 years ago, and were just so pleased to see buffalo ( I know I am old and should say Bison, but... ) and loved our experience. We got close to a few of 'em at times, and watching you interact with them and lead them around is just amazing to me. Wild ones are just not that safe, and watching you lead them around and move them is just so much fun to watch! Thanks for what you do, and may your channel grow!
