This song is difficult even for Lindsey Buckingham with steel strings as seen him struggle to hit the notes at speed which is why he uses vinyl. So it makes sense you are playing it a bit slower as well.
This is one of the hardest songs to learn on guitar, especially when you try to match Buckinghams BPM which is like 138. Even at half speed it’s a task
It's not too slow... Yes, he isn't playing it as fast as Mr Buckingham, however this is still being played well, and that's what matters. While it is fun to play it at 260-280bpm, that just isn't realistic for many intermediate guitarists. You only have the right to criticize this chap once you upload a video of yourself playing this tune.
