BIG Mistake Cleaning Concrete (I messed UP) 

I ran into this issue recently as I was testing out my Pressure Washer in my backyard. For context this is my house and my concrete.
Whilst prepping the concrete pad for my pressure washer I completely missed the fact that the pad has a long crack running through it. This crack is fairly substantial as it runs the width of the entire pad. At no point in my ownership of this home have I noticed this. This is the first time the pad has been cleaned in 3 years, so the build up of dirt didn't help but still... it's something I should have noted.
When Pressure Washing concrete you have GOT to inspect it for existing damage. Again, this concrete pad is mine so no harm, no foul. But if this had been a client then they would not have been pleased if that crack had been unknown to them.
So the lesson here is simple: inspect, document and discuss. Inspect your concrete for existing damage. Document it thoroughly with pictures or video. Discuss directly with the client prior to beginning work, preferably by showing them the damage.
My mistake here was very educational and hopefully this video will help you lads out down the road, too.
