That's interesting. In Lies of P one of the final bosses, who is named Simon Manus, turns into this big deformed thing with his left arm missing but then at the start of his second phase grows a glowy weird left arm (plus an extra torso and head)
I love how its 4 giant man/beast things with weird left arms and when they wanted to make them harder for the last two they just decided to make them on fire
I like how some of the regular semi-bestial peasant enemies in Bloodborne have long left arms too. Aside from the "left hand path"/evil connotation, it's also the arm that goes numb when you have a heart problem.
If they ever met and were less feral, they’d probably arm wrestle each other to assert a pecking order. It would have to be the smaller arms though, the hatred demon’s fire prosthetic is not regulation.
You know? I had heard something about it long before I got into this saga, that Miyazaki was obsessed with abnormally large arms and swamps, I stayed with the second, and despite the time I've been doing this, I barely realize this
Is far easier that it may seem. The key is using the hook a lot and know where to go when doing certains attacks. Ex: Running towards him and when he is gonna trow his fireballs, change 45 degrees to the left. Oh, and using petals and candies also helps a lot to make the fight shorter. One of my favorite Sekiro Boss fights.
Also they are all kinda connected in themes of humanity and sin. Manus is a progenitor of humanity, and also of their "sin of yearning". Cleric beast... there's no distinct lore about that one, although one could assume that a) cleric beast is probably some low-ranking member of the Church, b) his quite bestial transformation again ties him to "unenlightened" part of humanity and bestial nature, which can be interpreted as "sin". Finally, Sculptor aka Demon of Hatred is just a simple human who tries to find inner peace, but he can't let go of his RAGE (his sin). So they a bit similar not only in their design but also in lore.
might be unrelated but i remember my mom once told me in catholic school she was forced to be right armed because being left armed is the sign of the devil and unholiest
Is Miyazaki doing self-copying? It's not news at all. No wonder there is a joke that in the dark souls of 3, the number 3 means that you bought the same game 3 times, stupid Gaijin
All the soulsborne games feature a human protagonist that fights things too. How could anybody stand to play a game with such an awful, repetitive feature? Until From produce a game that's truly EXCITING and ORIGINAL, like a paint drying sim, you should go on a hunger strike. That will show those scamming japanese bastards.
Sekiro forces you to learn its unique gameplay then decides the secret boss at the end of the game has to be pulled straight out of dark souls 3 and personally I love it, demon of hatred is a ton of fun
I mean not really? Demon of Hatred relies on you having totally unhindered movement so that you never have to stop running and attacking. In any of the other games the boss would have you like a sitting duck after a few seconds.
Demon of hatred makes You use all the mechanics tough, infinite stamina, use of prostetic more than any other BOSS, use of graple hook, jumping, agressiveness and doing hp damage for less posture recovey, this BOSS would suck ass in ds3 bcs sekiro has different tools and mechanics
