I actually used a glitch to get the moonlight great sword, but it was in Elden ring, and it was way easier. So my suggestion is get the Moonlight Greatsword in Elden ring, then wrong Warp to the beginning of Dark Souls. You have to be simultaneously playing both games on PC for this to work. I feel like I would have a bettet chance of that working than trying your method.
I've seen a bunch of DS1 videos/speedruns, so I knew pretty much exactly how this would go but it took an embarrassingly long amount of time to figure out why you bought the East-West Shield (I didn't realize it was part of a meme roll setup until it was time to set up the Blighttown meme roll.)
@@swagiro824 It's a glitch where if you're between 25.1% and 29% equip load (in Remastered specifically), the game will let you chain rolls together mid-air, and survive falls you would normally die from.
I just beat dark souls 1 for the first time only a few days ago, there's a part of me that wants to play the game again cause I used the Black Knight Halberd and it decimated every boss. however, both Sens Fortress and Bed of Chaos were blind panic runs and made me completely demotivated to beat the game (Though I still did). Total boss deaths I had was 28 with 24 of them being bed of chaos. the other four were Taurus Demon, Grey Wolf Sif, and Seath.
That's the great thing about Dark Souls; there's a lot of different ways to play it! Bed of Chaos is a pretty rough boss unless you cheese it with firebombs or arrows.
@@splee5556 I did want to try a mage and getting my hands on the moonlight GS however I've been practicing some of the glitches and I can't get most of them XD Specifically the ladder one, the duplication glitch, meme roll, and the sen gate skip. so pretty much all of them.
To paraphrase Miyasaki "I'll give women shoes before ever changing a damn thing in my masterpiece, remastered graphics you philistine swine" Kids these days, think they can patch anything in life, tsk tsk
Great video. You could maybe use some music but the video is still really well made. I'm not really into ds1 but the glitches you did were really enjoyable.
thank you for teaching me how to free the pyromancer guy before beating the most bs boss ever saved me from not playing the game cause i dealt no damage
Still waiting for the adds to finish so I can start the video, but predictions are: - firebomb then quit-out for asylum demon skip - master-key to get to sens via valley - pick up depths key from the back entrance of the undead chapel region - cross bridge to get the sorcerer teacher in Depths for fall damage spells and rings - death cam to skip Bells - great sword grab glitch to skip Iron Golem - fall damage spell delay to skip golden gates at Duke Goldgate (ymfah video) - complete Duke's and grab the tail. Adds are done, so I'll edit once I finish! EDIT: Hah, seems I was on the wrong track for the very start. Forgot that the prep-work for weapons and damage also count. Either way, congrats on the run, and have a good day!
If you return to the Iron Golem's boss area from Anor Londo, you can perform a Force Quit Wrong Warp to warp just in front of the gate to Sen's Fortress.
I love this kind of stuff but with soul duping I for sure could get the sword faster by just 99 int demolishing the required bosses up to Seath. The best glitch for replayability tbh.
Funnily enough, the fact that you rested at the anor londo bonfire means that you HAVE to defeat ornstein and smough as your first boss to get anywhere else other than anor londo and sens fortress
You can use a Force Quit Wrong Warp to escape Sen's Fortress without killing Ornstein and Smough. But it makes sense to kill them first anyway since having access to warping makes the game much easier to navigate.
You initiate a warp (Dark Sign, Homeward Bone, Homeward, etc... all work) and then force quit out of the game during the last few frames of the loading screen. There's a tutorial for the method I use here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EbAIdFfbqJo.html
Currently, the least amount of bosses you can beat the game with is three: the gargoyles, Ornstein and Smough, and Gwyn. I did a speedrun of it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9eTmwW0oJdI.html
You have to highlight brightness in the options menu, then press A followed by RB one frame later (press them at almost the same time). If done right, the brightness menu should come up at the same time as the item menu. You then need to navigate to the soul using the D-pad and LT so the item is highlighted at the same time the brightness bar is. If you want to make this easier, move the soul to the top of the menu before doing the glitch. Then press A to bring up the item's menu. You then need to select use on the item at the same time you select defaults on the brightness menu. You can move the selection in the brightness menu down without moving the item menu by pressing down and right on the D-pad at exactly the same time. Then you just need to press A on defaults, and it should prompt you to use the item with the glitched quantity. There's a bunch of tutorials for it on RU-vid as well. Search for Prompt Swap or Soul Dupe.
You have to land during the invincibility frames of the roll. If you land too early or too late, you'll die. I basically just try to run off the scaffolding at about a 45 degree angle from the piece of wood that's sticking out. After that, do a plunging attack with nothing in your hand, and roll twice in the air. You should land during the invincibility frames of the second roll.
Just slowly built up my knowledge of glitches/tricks over time. I learned of a lot of them through speedruns. Then I put that knowledge together to do this!
item swapping to skip the running start animation does not affect female characters. Female characters already start running faster than males, however males stop running later than females. Thats why speedrunners pick male
Upper body animations accelerate you instantly to max speed on both male and female characters. Female characters naturally accelerate and decelerate faster than male characters. So they don't get as much of a benefit as male characters, but still do get some benefit. You are correct that male characters are faster for speedruns due to the slower deceleration.
From my understanding, it's extremely inconsistent. I also believe it requires (or is most consistent at least) with the mace; which would require you to start as a cleric.
I respect the complexities of the glitches here, but I have to admit I was at times amused by how you used force-quit-wrong-warp tricks and other such shenanigans instead of, y'know, walking back to a previous bonfire.
Before watching I'm gonna try to guess the skips sequence: 1. Asylum Demon skip, obviously. 2. Sen skip. 3. Have Iron Golem clip you into Anor Londo. 4. Meme roll off of the elevator platform to skip the golden fog wall in the archives. 5. Duke skip 6. Cut Seith's tail and bone back to the Asylum. Edit: nailed it!
After long time people still talk about how DS 2 is a bad and broken game. Just look at how easily you can dup billion souls in DS 1 there's nothing even to discuss here.
To be fair, you can only do the version of the prompt swap glitch I'm doing here on Remastered. Both games have their fair share of glitches; but both are fun nonetheless.
@@splee5556 Yap... but i still think DS 2 better than DS 1 - because they fixed most of the glitches in DS 2 (not at all) and finally added at least some normal lighting effects in game and finally the resistance stat has at least some meaning (ADP in DS 2) which no one lvl up it because poison status was not a big problem in DS 1. I also laugh that in Dark Souls 1 you can cancel damage from falling by simply rolling at the end of the fall and I also laugh at the fact that even poison stops eating your HP if you roll at the poison timings HP damage (IT'S WORK EVEN WITH - Power Within magic). BTW - bleed status in DS 1 is really broken. It's very easy to kill a lot of bosses and mobs with bleed because bleed have % damage. And NG+ system scaling in DS 2 is much harder than in DS 1. While Ng+6 in DS 1 is just a another walk, DS 2 make NG+6 like a hell because mobs have x4 Damage buf (Havel armor don't save you and even heal stones) also x4 HP buf and new monsters appear... this is why i don't really like DS 1 because it's became boring after 2-3 hours of running to one bell therefore to another (Unless of course you use great DS 1 bugs). And of course DS 1 is full of ladders and stairs that you need to constantly climb but quick climb in DS 1 has not yet been invented and you wait 1.5/2 minutes of real time for your character still slow climbing... i like DS 1 and DS 2 but... DS 2 better for me.
What I don’t get is, why do people not want to play video games the right way by actually beating the game in getting the weapon that way I’m just saying
@@tommasodelrio I understand perfectly what you mean. You're complaining that someone isn't playing the game how you want them to, without understanding yourself how they're playing the game. Like I said, try it yourself, then come back.
i think id ratehr kill the bosses tog et it than do this nonsense...exploiting and cheating ..tell me what kind of no lifer it must take to figure this shit out?
