I think he meant 15 to 20 grand a year most likely bro. Selling tapes gives you what like no more than $10 guaranteed per tape. What he meant was he never got straight up 1K at a single given time, as in for example selling one tape for 1k. That was what i think he meant by had never happened before

It is true, but it wasn't just Jay-Z and Big Pun. I researched and found out that Jay and Fat Joe were fighting and Pun hit him upside the head with a bottle during the fight. Surprisingly enough, it also said that after Pun crept on him and hit him with the bottle, Jay ran to Kareem "Biggs" Burke and was fighting back and forth with him for his gun.
Jay-Z and Biggie were friends, If Biggie knew that when he died that Jay would be quoting his lines, he would understand that Jay was only doing it to show respect to him, which is all he really was doing
