Made this for the family cook out 2 years ago my cousins were in charge of the smoker and I made the sauce. Absolute show stopper. Everyone is still talking about it.

Thanks, this is a great sauce. I didnt have red pepper jelly but replaced with 3tbl of both pepper spread and cherry preserve. Had to hit it with the imersion blender at the end to smooth it out but it was good.

My grandpa was a pitmaster, learned everything I know from him. He made sure that I know bbq sauce is a no no in Texas but I like BBQ sauce for my chicken and pork. Love this recipe, I changed a few things but great as a base.

I’ve made this three times. I love it but I do find the amount of wit Worcester sauce is way too much for my taste. I dropped it down to 3 T and it’s perfect for me. Thanks for sharing.

Arnie.....I'm not a big sauce fan, but I could pour this in a glass and drink it.....I had to use Tabasco pepper jelly and peach mango chutney(all I could find). It was so good, I hate to try and change anything I did. Thanks for all you do.

Thanks for your question but I really think it's personal preference, it is a little sweet so if you dont like it to sweet cut back on the sugar some, same for beef

Sounds like you live in Virginia like I used to. I’ll bet cherwine would work. I just finished my 2nd batch. Was a little thin, working on thickening. Confused because video shows rapid boiling, but he says not to. ???

You can take just about any flavor soda pop you like and make it a sauce, knew a Meat lab professor who made brisket in a roaster oven with a Dr. Pepper sauce. Best BBQ sandwich I ever ate 🤙🏻

I think using soda is just lazy and a bad additive to unnecessary ingredients I don’t recommend any high fructose syrup in recipes

Nah it adds sugar and traces of the flavor. I’ve used a can of Dr Pepper for the past decade and it’s always amazing
