We had an epic trip fishing for smallmouth bass in Michigan. After an easy flight to Detroit and a short drive we were in the middle of 20 plus potential options for catching some lunker smallies. We fished with Mike Schultz and a few other guides from Schultz Outfitters. We caught big smallmouth bass in several different rivers on everything from big streamers and poppers to foam hopper patterns. We blind casted with sink tip lines and big baitfish patterns and sight casted with floating lines and small terrestrials the next day. We all agreed that this is a trip that we want to do again.
