After frying the clutch in the VE we were in need of some upgrades so we spoke to Armstrong Automotive in Clontarf and decided to go all in and upgrade it to a TH400 Auto!! After many missing transmissions in freight we were left with only 3 days to get it going for the Roadtrip Drag Challenge.
We installed a 1000HP fully manualized TH400 with case saver and no engine braking from Craigs Automatics and matched that with a 4000rpm Stall convertor from ASNU Transmission products, Driveline services built the Driveshaft and Total Fabrication Brisbane helped mount the transmission cooler.
Rob, "Mechanical Dave" and Foley from Armstrong Automotive then worked magic to get it all installed and ready to go amongst other jobs all in the 3 days that we had left. The professionalism and service from Armstrong Automotive is second to none and just amazing, please take the time to get over and follow their page I have included all the links below, I can not thank them enough for what they did to get me to Roadtrip and with a car that is now much faster, the only thing left to ask now is what will we do next ????
